Chapter 11: Started From The Bottom

Authors Note: Is It time to be humble Lawrence Sullivan watches Yosef Stephenson win against the Miami Hurricane's.

We also know that Lawrence won't get caught up in the hoopla comparing him to Yosef Stephenson the quarterback who took his job, as Yosef took the football field for the first time against Miami the former five star recruit was met with mixed emotions from the crowd. When the cameras approached Lawrence on the sideline he didn't fall for the bait he kept his composure, and remain a leader when the team has trouble clicking he was on the sideline hyping his offense line up, he was also talking to Yosef and on the sideline, Lawrence told the media he has to lead by example once the team starts to click on cylinders it was fun to watch! The media also wanted to bring out the history between Yosef, and Lawrence last year especially with Yosef being the third string quarterback on the team. Lawrence was a true freshman when he led SCT to the big south championship last year before getting Into an altercation on campus last year so the media feels like this year it's deja vu for the Wolfpack. Yosef Stephenson led SCT back from a 13-0 halftime deficit to a stirring 26-23 comeback win over Miami. After the game was over Lawrence, Bear, Pj, and Yogi decided to have a night out on the town which led to the a strip club on the southside of Greenville. At first Bear was hesitant to go at first but leave it to Lawrence to sweet talk him with some chicken wings, as the doors opened to mansion the crew was met with cheers from the crowd! As the club owner made sure the night was going to be without any interruptions he placed them in the middle of the club where the vip was Lawrence ducked off for a minute while the guy's continued to enjoy themselves; as the money was being thrown in the air the guys started to get comfortable until the next stripper made her way to the stage. As the music slowed down she stepped on to stage she instantly grabbed the pole then maneuvered up and down she slowly took off some clothes then made her way over to where we were sitting once Bear got a glimpse of who the girl was he called her by her name. As she quickly covered her chest all of us was in shocked but Yogi decided to throw money until Pj smacked him on the back of the head Bear decided to leave quickly as Imani called his name she stood there and placed her hands on her head in frustration. After a couple of days passed by the crew we're hanging out in the middle of the student section as Lawrence walked in with Yogi, and Pj; Mariah was grinning ear to ear; hey babe? Lawrence slowly smiled, and told her what's happening? As he took a seat beside her; Mariah noticed Bear was down in the dumps so she asked him what's wrong?? At first Bear didn't hear Mariah talking to him until he seen Imani walking over to where they were sitting. Well look who decided to do the walk of shame at the last minute said Teagan, Mariah tells Imani we haven't seen you in a couple of days I know that homecoming is right around the corner, and you haven't even helped us with the decorations. All Imani could do is look at Bear the entire time so he decided to dismiss himself from the crew as he walks by her, she tries to catch his attention but he brushes her off so she decides to storm off in tears. As Pj walks pass them both Teagan tells the girls that was extremely weird has everyone lost their mind today?? Bear is just extremely uncomfortable because he seen her stripping at Mansion last night said Yogi. That's when the girls all turned their attention to Yogi, and his eyes became huge because he knew that he was supposed to keep it to himself! So that explains why she's been M.I.A lately said Callie, Mariah told her forget all of that! Lawrence Sullivan please tell me you wasn't at a strip club last night?? Dang all that why you idiots didn't tell me that my bestie was a stripper?? The guys remained quiet until Teagan asked Pj the same question Mariah asked Lawrence.. Pj looked at Teagan then told her if I was I wasn't doing nothing extreme it was just a night out with the guys besides Lawrence promised us all some lemon pepper wings all flats. As Mariah chuckles to gain her composure she tells Lawrence they'll talk about this later, Teagan informs Pj the same goes for him. As we both looked at Yogi he decided to take a leave himself before Lawrence or Pj could dive on him; Once Imani finally caught up with Bear before he could walk into the dorm room, At first he was hesitant to talk to her until she told him that she has a daughter with Diamanté; Get out of here with the lies as she went into her pocket to grab her phone she showed him her Lock Screen of her daughter, Imani told him she was 3 pounds 11 ounces at the time I was an unfit mother in the beginning so Diamanté gained custody and I've been trying my best to be in her life so I have to make ends meet. Bear told her there is other ways instead of stripping Imani; I wish it was that easy but I have to do what I have to do. He scoffed then opened the door to the door room then shut it in her face. I don't care what you said Lawrence I'm still mad at you, as Imani passed by us Mariah told her that she will have a talk with her later. As Lawrence opened the door to my dorm room he noticed Bear breaking out the double stuffed Oreo's and peanut butter so Mariah asked him was he on his period?? As we both had a laugh Lawrence told McKenzie I'll meet her at the cafe let me see what's wrong with Bear, Mariah told me that she got it just go get your wallet this won't take long.. As she gave me a kiss on the cheek Mariah plopped on the couch with Bear then grabbed an Oreo then asked him I guess this is about Imani?? Mac this doesn't concern you at all Imani is not the girl for me and I'm gonna move on.. Mariah proceeds to say wow that's the cowardly way to take it do you know that your influence is the reason Keisha Is fighting for joint custody you have helped her do a 180° and I must say that she's changed you also, Really said Bear, boy don't act like you dropped two pants sizes you came along way from freshman year Imani is not a duck she's one of the finest girls at SCT well besides me of course but before you decide to blow that you will be the pudding pop that's over here eating Oreo's you need to think twice before she walks out of your life again. Lawrence returns to the living room with his wallet in hand, are you ready to go eat honey?? Mariah looks at Lawrence and tells him of course now let's go spend some of your money! As she got up from the couch Lawrence tells Bear to step his game up.. then shut the door.
