Chapter 10: Pandemonium

A couple of days after the altercation with Kendrick, and Rocco reappearing after a few years the entire school has been on high alert. Since the trouble I brought to the campus last year a couple of parents including Callie and Pj decided to take this matter to higher ups. After class Lawrence noticed most of the students heading over to the student center so I decided to follow in pursuit. As everyone surrounded the tv the breaking news on the tv where it shows that I was suspended for a few games due to the incident. As Callie and Pj's parent's addressed the local news they explained that the safety of the students is at all time high no one should feel scared to attend class, SCT is a school that is based off of excellence the last thing we need is a repeat of last year so we are gonna nip this problem in the bud now! Once Lawrence noticed that some of his classmates were looking at him he decided to take my leave. Once Lawrence made it back to the dorm he noticed Pj waiting for me Inside, Bro before you jump to conclusions.. Lawrence immediately stopped him dead in his tracks and told him I don't need an explanation this was another case of the hat-fields, and the McCoy's! Lawrence you have no idea how this affects me my parents are apart of the committee the last thing they want is me, you or others to be harmed by anybody. The last thing he want is his classes mates to be harmed by anyone that's why I wanted to handle this myself so that's what I'm gonna do, as I told him to leave I reached into my drawer to grab my gun as i looked to see that it was loaded I decided to leave. Meanwhile at the girls dorm room Mariah was getting dressed to go to dinner with her parents as she finished getting ready the front door of the dorm room opened and there was a loud commotion! She opens the door to see what's going on.. See this wouldn't have happened if you never brought Kendrick on campus in the first place!! Imani told Callie how is this my fault, at least it wasn't my smug parents on the tv burrying my bestie you have no idea what's it like growing up like us! Imani dropped her bookbag on the floor Callie told her to "enlighten me?" Well first off some of us have to go through great lengths to get a scholarship to this school, most of us don't have a two parent home, mommy and daddy's credit card to max out some of us have to get it out the mud! Callie decides to do a slow clap in Imani's face then tells her that's so typical so I have to suffer in silence because my parents gave me a better life I'm sorry your parents made excuses but we're here to make a difference if you would take time to apply yourself more instead of being the thot who gets passed around the school you might be more than the stereotype you trying to portray! Imani proceeds to slap Callie in the face, and that's when Mac steps between the both of them. Imani tells Mariah I guess you are on their side now too huh?? Mariah tells her she needs to take a walk because alot was said today, Imani grabs her book bag and leaves the dorm room. After the argument was diffused Mariah finally made it to the restaurant when she checked in the waiter brought her to the table, once her mother walked into the restaurant incognito Mariah asked her what's up with the incognito look? Look you ask so many questions, I see your father is late as usual so I seen on the news your little friend is in trouble again?? Mariah told her mom not to start again Lawrence was actually trying to protect some of the players on the football team you know the media likes to twist things. There you go again Mariah you continue to protect that boy, I don't know what you and your daddy see in that boy?? Mariah's dad makes his way to the table; We'll look who decides to make it on time.. Elise not now as Mariah gave her dad a hug she proceeded to ask why did her parents ask her to dinner without her siblings. As her dad starts to scratch his head he asked the waiter to bring him a scotch so Mariah noticed her mother's body language change Mac's mom sighed and said: "We both wanted to wait until you graduated but the more we wait the harder it gets for us." Mariah tells them both you're getting me a brand new Benz she told her Dad she wanted a champagne color Benz just so I could stunt on campus. As her mom scooted over closer to her she looks her in the eye and tells her baby girl I wish it was that easy but your father and I are getting a divorce. Mariah stood there stunned by the news she told them I thought losing her grandfather was bad enough but this takes the cake you both could of called me on the phone with this I thought you both loved each other?? Mariah dad tells her we do love each other but as the years went by love wasn't there anymore and your dear old dad decided to hurt mommy I promised mom it wouldn't happen again but it did, and she never forgave me so I will be moving to Atlanta to be closer to the sites I will be in and out of town so I'll still pop in and see you. As the tears fell down Mariah's cheeks she stormed out of the restaurant!! Once Imani made it back to the campus she noticed Bear sitting on her stoop so she asked him don't you have anywhere else to be? Well I was waiting on Mac to return to campus I was looking for Boogie so I'll just wait here until she gets back. Well he's a big boy he will eventually make it back before they lock down the campus.. Bear proceeds to asks Imani do you always have to be so snarky? She asks him why is everyone on this campus so critical of me I am trying my best the last thing I need is some sponge cake like you trying to look down on me! Bear tells her she's funny and the sponge cake joke was clever but I see right through you. Imani you have so much potential to great but you hold yourself back, and you take it out on everyone around you who really deep down care about you. Imani rolls her eyes and sucks her teeth; then tells Bear "nobody cares about me." He places his hand on her face then looks Imani in her eyes and tells her I do. As she smiles Bear asks her is that a smile I see you finally decide to show off the dimples in your cheeks I see my job here is done, she grabs his hand and tells him thank you then kisses him on the cheek. Now that's a site to see said Lawrence, Bear and Imani proceeds to ask Lawrence where have you've been we were worried sick about you?? Lawrence looked at the both of them and told them right, Imani told them both she was going to go upstairs and hash things out with Callie I'll see you tomorrow, after she walks up the steps Lawrence gives Bear a confused look so Bear notices Mariah walking up to the dorm room he proceeds to tell Lawrence to stop playing games with my bestie and come correct. As Lawrence turns around Mariah instantly hugs Lawrence tightly, Lawrence proceeds to massage her forehead he noticed that she's been crying so he takes her hand, and they proceeded to go somewhere to talk.
