[Aqua POV]

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked before she went down the slide. "We don't act like normal kids, and neither does [Name]," I started.

"He's always isolating himself from us, He developed earlier than most babies, always writing things down in that book and refusing to show it, the director even said that [Name] is one of the most useful kids he's ever met," I explained. "Has he ever told you anything suspicious??" I asked.

"Hmm, not really. Every time he talks with me, it's either about playing together or he goes on and on about his imaginary friends until I end up falling asleep." Ruby confessed. "Maybe you're paranoid, [Name's] just a weird kid," Ruby countered.

Maybe she could be right, but some of the things that happened with him are unexplainable. Like that picture he drew, the characters looked exactly like Kana and the director. It could be a coincidence, but when Ruby and I are reincarnated, [Name] could also be one, too.

'It's best for me not to dwell on this topic for long. I'll just go back to enjoying my life as a preschooler!' I thought as I began to read my novel.

"Alright, everyone, it's time for your dance routine!" The teacher announced happily. She clapped her hands and smiled as she spoke to us, "It won't be long until your families come to see you dance, so let's put our all into practice today!"

"Yes ma'am," we all answered.

Suddenly, Ruby shot up and ran out of the classroom as she yelled, "No, I won't do it!!"

The teacher went after her but stopped at the door to let her calm down.

I turned to my left and saw [Name] writing in his book once more, and a boy was trying to peer into it over his shoulder.

"I'll go talk to her ma'am," I explained to the teacher. She allowed me to leave so I could look for Ruby.

As I was walking around in the area, I could hear faint sniffling coming from behind a tree.

Immediately knowing it was Ruby, I stepped closer.

"Why did you run away?" I asked.

"Because I'm bad at dancing or rather I've never done it before," She answered.

I sighed and got closer, "Were you always cooped up in your room playing? Kids these days... I swear..." I said, but no answer came.

Ruby just stayed there silently, knees up to her chest and head in her arms.

Finally, she started to speak again. "I guess I was something of a shut-in." She started, "I tried several times, but I could never do it. I don't think I'm capable of real exercise," She finished. I could hear she was trying her hardest not to cry. It made me feel a bit guilty for what I said to her earlier.

"I don't know what things were like for you before, but are you really okay with this? You've got a long life ahead of you."

When we all got home, Ruby went off to the studio alone, probably to practice dancing. [Name's] sitting on the floor writing in his book again, 'Maybe I should just ask him,'

"Are you like Ruby and I?"

"..."

"..."

"Huh?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "What do you mean, Onii-chan?"

'Maybe I'm just being paranoid after all...'

"It's nothing [Name], I'm just being silly." I waved off. He nodded and turned back to his book.
