The AMP house was very full today, many unfamiliar faces that somehow were invited. Imani stayed in her room most of the morning having a headache from the loud noises downstairs.
Duke walked out of his room sighing as he heard all the people. He wasn't exactly comfortable when all these people showed up because someone had a guest but he wouldn't say anything.
He walked up the stairs and walked into Imani's room, she was laying on her bed seemingly asleep. But when he closed her door she imeditally looked up and smiled, "Hey duke" she said yawning and putting her arms up.
He was wearing his black and red bonnet and one of his grey sweatshirts. It was a cute fit and Imani laughed seeing it.
He smiled and walked over to her wrapping his arms around her pulling her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he sat down on her bed. "Have you been in here all day?" He asked after kissing her neck.
Imani nodded looking over his tattoos on his arm. Duke frowned realizing that meant she probably hasn't had anything to eat. He took a deep breath before putting his head back into her neck, holding tightly onto her waist as she straddled him.
After a few minutes Duke stood up putting her down starting to walk out of the room, "Cmon let's get some food ma." Imani followed right after him holding on to his hand as he led them down stairs and into the kitchen.
Duke slowed his pace and let Imani take the lead wanting to have her in his sight. There was probably around fifteen guys in the living room alone. Thankfully no one was using the kitchen so they could somewhat be left alone.
Imani winced as the men laughed and screamed loudly only making her headache worse. Duke looked through the cabinets grabbing her some medicine then looking for some food. He walked into the pantry leaving her to take her medicine, which obviously was a mistake.
Imani turned around getting a water from the fridge and once she turned around she was met with a dark skinned man with curly hair staring at her. She slightly jumped and looked at him funny, "Can I help you?" She asked giving him attitude.
"Damn little girl, what you being so mean for?" He said walking closer to her. Imani backed up putting her hand out in front of her but not so much that he noticed . "You really fine you know that?" She simply nodded feeling extremely uncomfortable.
She didn't know where Duke had went and was afraid of what the man would do. The man in front of her laughed and kept walking towards her until her back hit the counter. Her breath hitched as she realized she didn't have anymore room. The guy smiled creepily and leaned in closer towards her, putting his hand on her waist slowly moving it down.
Duke finally walked out of the pantry feeling happy with finding Imani's favorite snacks and candy, but when he walked out his mood immediately changed. He whole body filled with anger and he quickly came over pushing the guy off of her making him fall to the ground.
"Aye what the fuck you doing man!" Duke yelled standing in front of Imani. Her hand grabbed onto the back of his shirt for comfort.
She was never good in these situations, she never liked conflict and never wanted to start any. When she was growing up her stepdad would always yell and scream at her mom and siblings. So it brought back memories.
The man stood up and laughed, "I was just looking. You got a hot one, lend me her one time?" This pushed Duke even further. Duke lunged forward repeatedly punching the man.
All the men yelled watching the scene play out in front of them. Imani stood there watching as Duke beat the shit out of the man. She was shaking.
The noise caused Agent, Fanum, and Kai to rush out seeing the situation. Fanum and Kai ran to pull Duke off the guy so that he wouldn't kill him in the house and Agent came over to Imani.
He pulled her away from the scene and into his room. He pulled her into a hug as she began to cry. Agent knew Imani since they were kids and knew this would shake her up.
After a few minutes she calmed down and he looked at her telling her to stay there. He then left the room leaving her with her thoughts and shaky hands.
Agent walked out seeing Kai holding onto Duke talking him out of running to the guy and punching him again. Fanum was pushing everyone out the door along with the bleeding man.
Agent walked over to Kai and Duke seeing him furious, "Duke what the fuck happened? Imani is panicking in there all because you decided to start a fight."
"Imani? Where she at?" He asked disregarding every thing he said, now remembering why he even fought in the first place. Agent pointed to his room and Kai let go of him, letting him go to Imani while they helped push everyone out the house.
"Fuck" He whispered hearing her sniffles outside of the door. He opened the door seeing her wiping her eyes sitting on the bed. "Imani, I'm so sorry mamas" He said sitting next to her. She looked up and walked into his arms starting to cry all over again. "Are you okay?" She asked.
Duke wasn't at all hurt because the guy didn't get even one hit in but his knuckles were bloody and beginning to bruise.
"Yea i'm good don't worry about me, how are you feeling?" He asked pushing her hair out of her face. "I was just shaken up but thanks for protecting me." She says and he smiles kissing her lips twice.
"Aye I always gotchu. You don't need to worry about it." He says hugging her again. "I know"
