BILLIE'S P OV;
- SMUT || DOM G!P BIL
"here you go," eileen tapped on the register screen, her fingers moving deftly as she processed the customer's purchase. "that would be 3.89," she informed the woman with a polite smile.
the woman reached into her wallet and handed over the money, and eileen deftly placed it inside the register before printing out the receipt.
as the customer thanked her and walked out of the corner store, eileen turned to the side, glancing at her coworker, billie, who was busy scratching a lottery ticket.
"not like you're gonna actually win that," eileen teased, a hint of amusement in her voice as she watched billie's hopeful expression.
billie glanced at her, her eyes sparkling with optimism. "never know, anything is possible, eileen," she replied, her voice filled with determination.
eileen couldn't help but scoff at her friend's unfounded optimism. "billie, we're both college kids who work in a corner store in chicago," she reminded her, her tone tinged with skepticism. "I think it's safe to say our chances of becoming rich and famous are pretty slim."
billie let out a dramatic sigh, setting the lottery ticket aside. "I guess you're right," she conceded, a hint of disappointment creeping into her voice. "but a girl can dream, right?"
eileen chuckled at her friend's antics, finding solace in their shared moments of lightheartedness amidst the monotony of their daily routine. "maybe in another universe, you are," she offered with a playful grin.
with a wistful smile, eileen turned away, her mind already drifting to the next task at hand. "I'm gonna go reorganize the chips," she announced before walking over to the aisle, her footsteps echoing in the empty store.
meanwhile, billie's attention was drawn to another customer walking in, prompting her to step nearer to the register, ready to assist them with their purchase.
the girl who stepped into the store caught billie's eye immediately. with long, swaying hair and strikingly beautiful features, she exuded an air of confidence that drew billie's attention.
she couldn't help but offer the girl a slight smirk as she watched her browse through the items. the girl settled on a pack of gum and placed it on the counter, billie's gaze lingered on her, taking in every detail. "a dollar," she informed the girl, her voice tinged with a hint of curiosity.
Instead of handing over a single dollar bill, the girl surprised billie by handing her a ten dollar bill instead. "keep the change," she said, her voice carrying a certain tone that sent a shiver down billie's spine. with a slight bite to her lip, the girl turned and walked away, leaving billie feeling captivated and intrigued.
"damn" billie mumbled under her breath, her mind racing with thoughts of the random girl.
"not every girl that looks at you wants you, billie," eileen's voice cut through the air, breaking the spell that had been cast by the girl's presence. she returned to the front of the store, rolling her eyes.
