chap 7

JACE POV

I quickly changed into my working clothes and started working.

I was waiting for Charlie to come but she never did.

It was finally break, and me and my friend Jackson decided to go eat.

"That reminds me bro, who was that girl that dropped you?" Jackson said curiously as he took a bite out of his spicy tteokbokki.

"Bo!?, Ooo, Charlie. She's just my friend." I say and suddenly a wide grin appeared on his face.

"Chincha??!, Then introduce me to her." He says smiling.

(Chincha- like. really?, serious?"
(Bo- like. what?)

"No way." I say as I took a bite out of my noodles 🍜.

"Ughh, then I'll talk to her my self." He says.

I felt so angry, I wanted him to just leave her alone.

After lunch I went back to work, and still Charlie hadn't shown up.

After I was done, I went to my next shift. Pizza work.

I delivered some pizza, and prayed Charlie's order was part of my delivery, but it was not.

After I was done, I then went to the massaging center. Charlie wasn't also there.

By the time I was done with work , it was around that 8:00pm.

I went home, only to see the worst thing ever.

Some one had broken into my apartment, and set my house on fire.

Fire fighters were around the house spraying water on the house.

"Why didn't anybody call me?" I screamed at my neighbors, but none answered but just started leaving to their own apartment.

What the freak!!.

I felt so devastated, where would I leave now?. All my clothes, documents, everything was burnt.

I fell down to my knees and started crying. What have I done to deserve this??.

I'm just trying to hustle, now look at what has happened.

No one even bothered to console me, they all just left and went their ways.

I didn't know what to do, their was only one thing I could think about.

I decided to go to Charlie's.

On my way, rain started falling, and my clothes got soaked. I started crying again, but suddenly I slipped and fell down, scraping my knee.

I managed to get up and continue walking. I was already weak and shivering with cold.

Finally I got to Charlie's.

The guards recognized me and let me in. They probably thought I was her boyfriend.

I finally got to her door, and rang the doorbell. I rang it a few more times, but no response.

She was probably sleeping.

I kept on ringing the doorbell and knocking, but nothing.

When I was about to give up, the door swung open. And I saw a worried charlie and everything went dark.

CHARLIE'S POV

I just got out of the shower, when I heard the door bell ringing, I went downstairs.

'who could be here at this time' I thought to my self, as I adjusted my robe.

I opened the door only to see Jace, then he fainted.

I panicked, and I quickly called the guards to come help me carry him  to my room.

When they did, they left.

He was soaked with rain.

I quickly removed his shirt, trousers, underwear, socks, shoes. Everything he was wearing.

I then quickly went to my closet and got some of Andrews clothes for Jace. I wore him his shirt and joggers.

After that I quickly called my private doctor to come to my house quickly.

He came and took care of Jace. He said he'll be fine, that it's just cold. And I should keep an eye on him.

He then left. I picked up his wet clothes and put it in the washing machine and it washed, then I dried it.

I looked at his phone, and picked it up. He had a password. But as a mafia hacking is simple.

It took some time, but it was successful. I then looked at his contacts. Luckily he saved his bosses contacts directly.

My boss in Chin Chung's restaurant, was what he used to save his boss name in Chin Chung's restaurant.

I called him and explained how he is sick, and asked for one week rest for him. And he agreed. Infact all of his bosses agreed, saying he was one of their best employees.

Finally that was done. I turned on the heater and every where was warm.

I wanted to leave him and go to the other rooms, but I remembered what the doctor said about not leaving him alone.

I then changed into my PJs and laid  in the bed beside him.

It was weird, it's only Andrew I usually shared a bed with.

But soon sleep over whelmed me, and I slept peacefully
