chap 12

Charlie's POV:

Soon we finished watching the movie then we chatted and evening time came. I was about to make dinner when Andrew called again. I contemplated if I should pick up, and I decided to ignore.

He called 10 more time so I just decided to pick up.

"Hello!!!!???" Andrew's frantic voice said from the other side.

"Heyyyyy, Andrew, what's up?" I say trying to sound as normal and cheerful as I use to be when on a call with him.

He scoffs. "What's up?!!!, I've been trying to like reach you all day, why didn't you pick up??, Don't say you didn't even see my missed calls cause I called more than once." He says. I could really tell he was angry.

"Andrew, I'm so sorry, it's just that today I've been really really busy, and...." I tried to continue speaking but he interrupts me.

I saw Jace coming downstairs and he comes to stand near me trying to listen to the other voice.

"So your to busy to even call back, what's going on Charles?, I feel we are drifting apart." He says. I could really tell he was sad.

I looked over at Jace and saw a stern look in his face, he was definitely hearing Andrews words.

I was silent until Andrew broke it.

" Why don't you come visit me hmm?." Andrew says to me.

" We would have alot of fun, like real fun, please come Charles, I love you please." Andrew begged I wanted to say yes!! So badly.

I looked over at Jace and saw him mouthing a big fat no.

I honestly didn't know what to do. My men are supposed to resume in a few days, I should already be on alert, I needed to focus on my job. But still he needed me.

Well I can push the break a little while longer, I'm sure my men would like it, cause when I called them to remind them that we will be resuming soon, they begged me to add more time, but I said no. But I guess I have to change that.

"Okay Andrew, I'll come, but I won't be able to say really really long, cause I have a job you know??" I say to Andrew trying to be careful about my words. Jace must not find out I work in the Mafia, and for the matter I'm their leader!!.

"Woo babe, thanks so much I love you, I'll help you book a flight, and tell you the day you are to go." Andrew said like a kid on a sugar rush.

"Okay Andrew, thanks so much, I love you so much, I'll call you later, good night okay?" I say to Andrew as I look at Jace. He wasn't even looking at me anymore.

"Sure babe, I love you too, good bye." He said as we end the call.

Immediately I was done, Jace just went upstairs with out saying anything to me.

"Jace wait.." I say as I chase after him. As he was about to climb the stairs, I grabbed him to face me.

"What the hell Charlie???" He says to me in anger.

"Just chill, he's my boyfriend after all I have to help and be there with him when ever he needs me" I say to him trying to make him understand, which was not working.

"What about me????, You don't care how I feel?, Even after what we did, Charlie please I need you don't go to that dude who left you for work for 6 whole months Charles, please." Jace tried to reason with me.

"I'm sorry Jace, but I can't, Andrew is my boyfriend, I'm sorry" I say to him.

He just gave me a look of disbelief and sadness and went up stairs.

"Ughhhh" I groan, so frustrated.

'Andrew needed me. I'm doing the right thing. right?' I thought to my self as I drifted off to sleep.

Jace POV:

How, how can she choose me over that piece of shit.

I thought she was finally mine. I told her that and she said yes, she's mine.

What the hell?!.

I felt so betrayed and surprised.

I don't know what to do?.

I then decided to just try and let her go, obviously she didn't want me in her life, I would have moved out but I don't have anything thing on me.

I just had to let her go, act like we're roommates and crap like that.

I went to bed a drifted into a deep sleep.

I woke up feeling like I never even slept.

I got up and freshened up, and went downstairs.

I saw charlie cooking and I just went to the refrigerator and grabbed some water. I could feel her eyes in me.

I was about to leave the kitchen then stopped me.

"Breakfast's ready!!!,," She says trying to sound as natural as possible.

I didn't answer but started to leave then she stopped me.

"Come on jace, your really gonna give the silent treatment to me?" She asked, sadness in her voice.

"You did choose him over me Charlie!" I say almost letting all my anger out.

"Jace, he's my boyfriend. And he needs me." Charlie said to me almost In a whisper.

" What about me, I need you too Charlie, you  don't seem to see how much I care for you, do you?" I say to her as I come closer to her.

"I need you charlie, I love you." I say.

I then leaned over to kiss her but she slightly pushed me away.

"What happened last time was a mistake Jace. It was just an abomination, a taboo. It was nothing Jace. Just a hook up. That's all, get that in your head." Charlie said to me.

I felt sad by her words.  It was nothing? What does she mean by that?.

I looked her one last time and went upstairs.

I can't do this.

I started to pack all my bags, it seems I have forgotten where I belong, I'm just a street rat after all.

After I was done I went down stairs, I couldn't sight charlie and I took that chance and left, vowing to my self never to return back. Not just to the house but to her.
