The general took a couple of steps forward until he was completely away from the crowd of people, and stood next to the alien captain. "I volunteer myself," he said.

"Is that so?" the captain asked.

Grawl nodded. He had no idea what he was doing, or why he just offered himself and his home to Chuck Baker. Though, there was a small inkling feeling inside of him that made him do it. In his mind, he recalled Base 9 and it's destruction, and how he was rescued by the astronaut. Without him, Grawl would've been buried, and perhaps even killed. In a way, he felt like he owed Chuck his life, and that this was the perfect opportunity to truly apologize for what he did and show remorse to him. Not only that, but possibly get his position back in the military.

However, among that remorse and guilt that welled inside of him, fear still lingered there. If this creature was going to stay in his home, he would see first hand exactly what kind of lifestyle it had, among other things. He didn't know whether to be cautious or excited to understand the astronaut, but one thing's for sure was that he was intrigued just how this would play out.

After some silent thinking, the captain raised his head. "Very well. You will shelter this man and keep him safe. Astronaut, we will move your ship to our military base. Grawl knows where it is, and shall escort you there whenever you desire. As for everyone else, return to your homes and resume to your daily duties. Life here will go as normal; we will take care of this from now on."

Lem, Skiff, Lem's parents, Grawl, Chuck, and the capain watched as the crowd was being ushered away by soldiers. As they were, Lem heard a news reporter saying, "Well, you heard that folks. It looks like the military is going to help the astronaut get back to space..."

"Mr. Grawl."

Grawl turned to the captain, who gestured him to come closer with his finger. Grawl leaned in and the captain whispered something to him. "You will keep an eye on this alien. For the sake of our planet, it would be wise of you to take notes on his behavior and what he does. We must learn more about him and where he is from. Do you understand?"

Grawl mumbled back to him. "Of course, captain."

The captain and Grawl then turned to Chuck. "Mr. Captain Baker, do you have any belongings that you need to be transported?"

"I sure do!" Chuck said. "I'll just need to gather them up."

"You do that," the captain said. "Grawl, return back here in about a half hour with your car, and take Chuck to your house. As for the ship, it will remain here in Mr. and Mrs. Korplog's backyard until we get military personell to remove it from the premises. At this moment-" An alien soldier was puting up bright black and yellow caution tape around the rocket ship. "-the ship is off limits, meaning no one touches it whatsoever other than the military and Captain Baker. Is that understood?"

"Yes," Chuck's mom said.

"Good."

The captain then turned to leave, with Grawl following behind him. Lem watched them go, and waited for his mom and dad to go back in the house before confronting Chuck. "I'm sorry, I didn't think there would be so much of a stir!"

"No worries, man!" Chuck said. "Hey, at least I got interviewed! Who knew that my first ever TV interview would be on another planet?"

Skiff crossed his arms and grimaced slightly. "I don't have a good feeling about this. I mean, Chuck staying with Grawl? Who tried to get him killed and tested on?"

"And the fact that he volunteered himself is weird too..." Lem added.

"Didn't you see that captain guy and him whispering over there?" Skiff added. "Something's definitely up."

"Gah, come on you guys," Chuck interrupted, putting his hands on both of the alien boys' shoulders. "You're worrying about nothing! I promise, everything will be just fine." As he walking into his ship, he added, "Besides, if that general guy tries to pull anything, I'll give him a piece of this bad boy right here!" He then raised his fist and kissed his bicep before disappearing into his ship, leaving Lem and Skiff to look at each other with unease.
