A little around 9:00 in the morning, Grawl forced himself out of bed. He hadn't slept at all the night before, thinking long and hard about, well, just about everything. About Base 9 (its creation and destruction), his life, the military, Captain Baker... Everytime he tried to even get a wink of sleep, his mind would be cluttered and racing with thoughts of his very existence and his purpose now that he was relieved from duty.

Dragging his feet into the bathroom, Grawl took a shower and put on a simple gray tee before going into the kitchen, making himself some slug coffee. All of his blinds were closed but still a little bit of light sneaked through, dimly lighting the overall dark house. Once he brewed his coffee together and poured it into a glass mug, along with a couple shots of whiskey, he went into the living room and sat down on the couch, taking a drink. He hissed at the taste before taking another sip and then set his mug on the table, rubbing his face. He had a headache and was dead tired, but his thoughts kept him awake.

After a while of pondering some more, he finally picked up the remote and turned on the TV. It was turned onto the news already, and he left it on as he took another sip of his coffee.

"Last night, the infamous alien creature from another planet finally left for his home planet, saying goodbye to all of Glipforg's residents," explained the female news anchor's voice as a video recording played on the screen, showing the astronaut's take off. "After talking to a few people about the event, many have expressed their interest of the astronaut and questioned whether or not he will be returning back in the future. Well, viewers at home, you will be surprised to hear that the humaniac legend himself has actually returned!"

Grawl spat out his coffee. "No!"

"Yes! Just this morning, witnesses have said that they saw the rocket soaring back into our atmosphere, and landed somewhere in Glipforg. It was only hours later when they have located the rocket in the backyard of the Korplog family's home, where Rog is already there at the scene. You're on, Rog."

"Thanks, Mindy!" a male newsman said in front of a camera, holding a microphone up to his mouth. "You heard that right, folks! Captain Charles Baker is back in Glipforg, and boy does he have a story for us. Mr. Baker, do you care to explain to our audience just exactly what you are doing back here on our planet?"

Chuck cleared his throat and spoke into the microphone in macho-man voice like he was some kind of super hero. "Well Rog, it's quite the crazy story actually. One moment I am in my ship, enjoying some snacks, and then all of a sudden the screens and lights go a flashing, and alarms start blaring. That was when I saw on the control pad that one of the engines was..."

Grawl couldn't hear anymore of this. He had to see it for himself. Grabbing his military uniform from the closet, he rushed out of the house and sprinted for Lem's house.
