Shit!
My first day as an intern and i'm already late. Unfortunately i have also woken up to a strange man on my floor. What happened last night? I quietly try and sneak away but that fails as he wakes as one of the floor boards creaks. Fuck. What do i do? Meredith think, what do i do? Quickly i turn around with the most awkward smile on my face, how attractive however worse of all i'm but naked. He starts to laugh. Whats funny? So i shapely shouted, "stop laughing," and he did. Now for the awkward silence.
A few minutes passed and he finally spoke, " well last night was good." Hmm ok. I have to go i'm already late. Hopefully to get him out i tell him i'm late for my first day of work. Luckily, he just leaves. Thankfully. I quickly go for a shower but while i'm in the shower all i can think about what happened last night. I've never been this drunk. I'm surprised that i've even managed to get a man home; he was hot though. Shit, i didn't even get his name. Oh well it wasn't my first one night stand.
I'm about half and hour late now so i drive quickly. I quickly get changed into some scrubs and i'm assigned a resident, the nazi as everyone calls her. Another intern assigned, Izzie said she's nice; but jesus is she far from nice. "Don't bother sucking up to me, i already hate you and trust me that is never going to change." I now understand why they call her the nazi. Hopefully i wont have to put up with her for long. I cant stand this. My mother Ellis said being a surgeon is like art but this is far from art. I get my first ever patient, which is exciting. Today i'm working with Dr Burke on a patient called Chloe. Dr burke is a cardio surgeon but Chloe doesn't seem to have any signs of heart problems, except for the bradycardia which unfortunately can't be treated. Weirdly she keeps having fits. So the problem seems to be coming from her head; so the new attending is put to the job to see if he cant pin point what it is.
Unfortunately for me the new neurosurgeon is the man i decided to sleep with last night. Everyone calls him Mcdreamy but his real name is Derek. Could this day get any worse? "Ahh Meredith we meet again, i have to memories from last night in which i am fond of. Is it ok if you take Chloe for a head scan?"
"Well i plan on forgetting about last night, thank you. Yes i'll take Chloe for a head scan." In all honestly I can't stop thinking about him. He's charming, funny and that hair just suits him perfectly.
It turns out Chloe has an aneurysm. Which i'm sure for Dr Shepherd it can be easily be sorted.
Later that day, Dr Shepherd performed an operation on Chloe. He told me he had this saying where he goes, "it's a beautiful day to save lives, lets have some fun." Which i though was kind of cute in a way. Luckily he let me join in which is surprisingly weird for an intern. I don't know if it's because i'm her doctor or because we slept together. I have to admit though last night was good.
"Did you just let me join on this operation because i slept with you?" I'm bursting for information.
"Yes," he said jokingly. Then he continued, "No of course it's not, as much as i enjoyed last night i'm not one to favourite. You are Chloe's doctor and you deserve to be in this operation room as you helped to save her life."
Thats all i wanted, i'm glad it's not because i slept with him. About and hour later he was finished with Chloe there where no complications. Jesus he's a good surgeon.
It's finally the end of my shift and so is Dereks' so we decide to go to Joes' bar which is just down the road. We get changed and i have to look acceptable so i touch up on my make up and sort my hair out. Anything to impress Derek. Which is weird because i've never gone through this much effort for a man.
I want more information so i ask where he's from and what made him move to the wettest part of America. I know i wouldn't make the move. "So where did you come from?"
He replies with, "New York but i just needed a change in scenery and Settle Grace is meant to he the best hospital, so why not." Fair point. We end up going to Joes for a celebration drink; unfortunately for both of us we end up drunk again and going back to mine. Two nights in a row now Meredith this is not like you. However how can you resist when he's so mcdreamy.
