When he's not at school, Bang Christopher Chan spends most of his time in his room so much that his housemates call him a vampire - his skin is pale and he only gets out of his chamber at night (to snack in between studying when everyone's asleep and the house is empty).
But he started sheltering himself even harder since his close encounter with Tara Lester last Wednesday. He was in his room so much that Hyunjin had to check up on him to see if he was alive.
"Chan...?" Hyunjin knocked on the door of the boy's room that Saturday. "Are you okay in there, bud?"
"I'm fine," came the muffled voice from inside the room yet Hyunjin wasn't convinced.
"What are you doing in there all these days, Chan?" the taller male asked worriedly.
There was no answer until he heard footsteps and the door unlocked. Chan pulled it open just enough for his friend to see his face.
"I'm studying. I need an essay to write and I still haven't finished the book," Chan answered almost instantly, sounding like a programmed robot.
"Bro, you look terrible. Those bags under your eyes--"
"I'm fine. Don't worry," Chan reassured him but Hyunjin's foot prevented him from closing the door.
"I'm going out shopping. Do you wanna come with me and," he glanced above Chan's head and into the dark room before looking back at him, "get some sunlight?"
"I can't," Chan kicked Hyunjin's foot away on which the black-haired boy dramatically whined, "I told you I have work to do so don't disturb me."
And then he slammed the door and locked it again.
"There's okonomiyaki in the kitchen. Made it myself! You should eat!" Hyunjin shouted through the closed door but got no answer in return. "I'm worried about you, man!"
"Go away! I'm fine!" Chan shouted from the inside.
Hyunjin sighed and went down the stairs, exiting the house while worry about Chan still lingered in his mind.
Other boys were out of the house as well so only when the rumbling sound of Hyunjin's car engine subsided did Chan throw the thick book on the floor, his fingers gripping his tussled curly hair.
"Fuck!" he gritted out, not being able to focus on the novel he needed to finish and write about for his literature class on Monday because a pair of red lips and dark eyes occupied his mind.
He thought about Tara for so long and so much that he couldn't complete a chapter, rereading the same paragraph more than ten times.
Did he jerk off that Wednesday night with her in mind? Yes.
Did that help him forget and ease his mind? No.
All Chan wanted was to have a peaceful college life, stay out of trouble, and get good grades to secure his future but he couldn't do that now because she wouldn't leave his head.
Chan knew that Tara Lester was trouble yet how would he make her leave him alone when she was so damn beautiful and all he could think about was her sweet perfume tickling his nose and her warm hand squeezing his arm?
He needed a solution and fast!
...
Literature class was first on the Monday schedule. Because of his encounter with Tara last week, Chan had to change the book of choice, somehow finished reading the new one, and wrote the essay he wasn't proud of. When he presented it to the teacher, he could see disappointment on her face.
