I remember when I was in fourth grade, my powers went from beginner to pro in just half a year. Three incidents occurred that greatly affected my manners.
The first incident involved my two best friends. We were all inseparable and had a strong bond. However, they had a falling out, which resulted in the end of their friendship. I was heartbroken when I heard the news. Although we're still friends, it's not the same anymore. They see each other as mere classmates, not as friends anymore.
The second incident happened with my neighbor's son, who also attended the same school as me and my younger brother. One day, it was pouring rain, and he decided to enjoy it by getting his hair wet. To my dismay, he used my T-shirt to dry his hair. I told my parents about it, and instead of informing the teacher, they went straight to the principal. For an entire week, they kept asking me if the boy was involved in any other mischievous activities. I was infuriated by the whole situation.
The third incident, which I hated the most, involved a friend who took advantage of me. She used me to do her homework for an entire week and even asked me to make decorations for her. I was devastated when I realized what she had done. I wanted to get revenge, but I chose to keep quiet because I didn't want my parents to find out.
In fifth grade, I had a teacher who had favorites among the students who excelled in her subject. Unfortunately, I was one of the favorites. While I enjoyed the special treatment, I couldn't help but feel guilty for the other students who weren't her favorites. On one occasion, I failed to submit three homework assignments, but she didn't scold me for it. However, if one of the non-favorite students didn't hand in just one homework assignment, she would shout at them. And it didn't end there. She made a rule that if a student didn't submit their homework within three days, she would inform their parents. It was unfair, and I couldn't find happiness in being favored. Instead, I felt sympathy for the non-favorite students.
