Wrong Decisions

DROP OUT !?

It was December 2023 and the Pre-Board Practical Exams and Post-Half Yearly Exams were gonna be conducted. And before exams, one morning , Gandhiraj's Father tells him about OSB, the Open Schooling Board in which boards exams could be attended twice in a year, one in October and the other one in March.

PRE BOARD PRACTICALS:

In the Physics practical, there were total of 8 experiments given in which Gandhiraj had studied only 6 and unluckily the 2 experiments which he didn't studied was chosen for him by the teacher. He didn't even wrote the theory properly, he just wrote the name of the experiment and the required materials and he volunteered himself out Because he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything even if he reached the lab. And he was left alone in the class , he felt so inferior. He was angry that he was powerless and couldn't stand up for himself.

In the Chemistry practical Exams, he performed the Qualitative Analysis and Salt Analysis well leading to him being confident for the other exam.

In the Biology Practical exam, Gandhiraj got help from Gloria and they both did the writing well but Gandhiraj messed it up again in the Identification part and Cell Diagram.

In the Post Half Yearly exams, He wasn't performing with his full willpower as he was thinking of withdrawal from school so that he could attend the exam in OSB. He was already in confusion and then came the day of Farewell.

It was the scrubbing day and they were all writing well wishes to one another on their school shirt where he got his shirt written by the Block-In-Charge who was considered to be a strict teacher. He was moved by everyone's wishes towards him, here he was planning to withdraw but their hopes and emotions had created a rift within himself. And he finally meets a teacher from the past.

Flashback

In 2018 Post-Half Yearly Examination, Gandhiraj was accused of using unfair means in the exam when he wasn't doing anything like that. The teacher was someone whom he considered to be close with and then when she falsely accused him, he developed a fear of mistreatment by teachers if not scored good marks, leading to Exam phobia for a period of time.

End of Flashback

He used to have a grudge against her for that but now, he was neutral towards her, he approached her to get a wish, she signed her shirt wishing him all the best for board examinations. That was an emotional moment for Gandhiraj as he felt reconciled with his mother-like-figure.

And there were constant trying of his parents to blackmail Gandhiraj Emotionally so that he doesn't drop a year. It would tarnish their image and they might not be able to answer the relatives if asked why he pulled out of the exam at last minute. He held a meeting with Career counselor who advised him to atleast attempt the exam.

He then finally gathers courage due to the advice and the love shown by the school staff and his friends at the farewell.
