Chapter 12: A New Name

Alex decided that he needed a new name, a new last name to be precise.

Alex: Everyone, I like to thank you for listening to my plight. But there's one more thing to do before I can enroll, I want to change my family's last name.

Nezu: Interesting, how come?

Alex: Now that people know about me, I need something for a last name that they can call me by, one that can replace some of my old family names. I've already talked to my cousins and sisters and they've agreed on it already.

Ms. Joke: So what do have in mind?

Alex: I have something, but first, I want to here any suggestions from you.

Many of them did, but most of them didn't fit right with Alex, which only proved his thoughts correct.

Alex: I know what my last name and my family's last names are going to be.

Eraser Head: What is it?

Alex then said on thing:

Alex: Light.

The heroes eyes widen at this decision.

Sir Nighteye: Light, as in, "Dr. Thomas Light"?

Alex nodded.

Cementoss: Why?

Alex then explained:

Alex: Well, the original Mega Man was named "Rock Light", with a version of him being "Aki Light", so I want to honor the many kinds of Mega Man before me. In addition, I want it to pay homage to Dr. Light, he was kind of enough to make me who I am. I also want to make sure that Dr. Light would be remembered for the great things he was able to do. 

The Pro-Heroes agreed that Alex changing his family's last names to "Light" was a good idea.

Days after the reveal of all kinds of shocking information, the many governments along with the International Hero Commissions, HPSC, and the Hero Committee got together to help make the changes. Despite what had happened to him, Alex soon became a beacon of hope to those in need, like a true hero. Alex's speech had done something that he never expected, his speech had inspired several governments to place down new laws to protect those who were Quirkless, those with terrifying mutation-based Quirks, and to not label anybody having a villain/weak quirk. This made a lot of people happy because this would mean that something like they saw most of the fake Pro-Heroes had done would never happen and go unpunished again. There were also new laws that now required that many Pro-Heroes are to undergo background checks at the beginning and end of each month. There were also laws restricted Quirk usage to minimize collateral damage and Maximize safety. Needless to say for PubSec for Japan, the HPSC aka the Hero Public Safety Commission, and the Hero Committee, they had to find new leaders and new members after the reveal of the scandal that caused them to be filled with guilt and resigned. Endeavor even gave his speech where he confessed everything, but he wasn't looking for forgiveness as he just wanted to make amends for what he had done. Needless to say, things were going pretty well for Alex.

However, he still wanted prove that he wasn't all talk and no fight. He needed to prove himself even more. So Alex decided to use his big brain to come up with a plan. A few days passed, and Alex managed to learn everything else from some of the other Pro-Heroes and the teachers.

One day, Alex was standing at the courtyard of the U.A., he wasn't trespassing nor was he doing anything, he was just trying to see just how much his speech had effected this world. All seemed well and good, until he noticed something strange, he saw same the little girl from the meeting again.

Alex: It's that girl again...

She looked like she was lost, so Alex decided to approach her, cautiously of course. He then talked softly to her.
