Chapter 10: New Mega Man on the Block

It took a bit of time but after a few days, Alex was finally back on his feet, he had watched everything from a TV as a means of making sure he had decent knowledge of the MHA universe. The Mega Man Suit was severely damaged and so it was sent for repairs, but it was taking the Department of Support and the main Support Course quite a bit of time to fix it. Alex was disappointed but not surprised, considering how the Mega Man Suit still has a lot of functions no one knew about. Best Jeanist was able to make an outfit for Alex that seemed to really fit the theme of being a Mega Man. Alex actually had word with Nezu.

Alex: Nezu, I'd like to ask you something.

Nezu: Talk away Alex.

Alex took a deep breath before exhaling.

Alex: Well, I know you want me and my sisters to be in the Hero Course under recommendations, but I feel like that I wouldn't belong their. After all, I feel like that would be a bit unfair, it's just... well... I'd feel like that I didn't actually deserve it. After all, isn't a reward a lot more rewarding when have to do work for it? Besides, many Pro-Heroes before me had to work to earn their hero License so if everything was made easy for me, it wouldn't sit right with me. Plus that would just ruin a challenge, and I'm always one for a challenge, as long as I know what I'm doing and not get carried away.

Nezu was surprised, normally most people would be thrilled to be in the U.A. University under recommendations, but nevertheless, he saw great potential in Alex, and agreed.

Nezu: Very well. Just make sure to be safe.

Alex decided that in order to get some Yen, he needed to find a job. He needed Yen if he wanted to do anything in Japan. He could've asked for a loan, but he didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of the U.A.'s kindness. So he decided to make use of his time helping around some other heroes agencies. Such as carrying supplies to them, cleaning up the agency buildings, fixing stuff, building stuff and tasks he can do easily while leaving more complicated stuff to the professionals. Unbeknownst to all of the Pro-Heroes, Alex was actually closely observing them. Alex watched their fighting styles, attacks, and Quirks like a hawk or a lion stalking its prey. All of the Pro-Heroes had no idea, when they saw Alex looking around while his eyes were darting in certain directions, he was observing and capturing their everyone move, but they didn't realize that. Soon Alex had saved up just enough Yen for himself.

He occasionally sparred with some of said Pro-Heroes, with their consent and Nezu's consent of course. And he managed to surprise everyone, he knew where to dodge attacks, how to intercept them, how to counter them, and much more. His guard was surprisingly strong, he blocked Mirko's strongest kick attacks, Endeavor's fireballs, and just about every Pro-Heroes' strongest attacks. When sparring with the teachers, again with their consent and Nezu's consent of course, it revealed things that surprised them. Alex was so strong, that Eraser Head's Quirk "Erasure", barely did a thing to him, merely slowed him down, his Quirks weren't canceled out, it only took five whole minutes for Erasure to finally kick in, but that was odd as it should've been instant. When it came to Present Mic's Quirk "Voice", it didn't even cause him to flinch as Alex just covered his ears special headphones he made, and much to everyone's surprise, including his own, he caught Mic's soundwave projectile and shot it out as an even stronger blast that nearly left Mic deaf, even partially. Cementoss's Quirk "Cement" didn't stop Alex, as he bulldozed all of them, even the strongest of the cement pillars. Ectoplasm's Quirk "Clones" got wiped out when Alex used a shockwave attack. Powerloader's Quirk "Iron Claws" were rendered useless as Alex managed to cause an earthquake and thus interrupted his attacks which Iron Claws only amplified. Snipe's Quirk "Homing" proved useless when fighting Mega Man, as Alex managed to keep shooting the gun out of his hand before absorbing the gun too. Vlad King's Quirk "Blood Control" did show promise, as Alex ended up avoiding it, but this was a trick as he managed to disarm Vlad King, and he then absorbed his support tech, which made using his Quirk unsafe. Thirteen's Quirk "Black Hole" did show some promise as Alex didn't really have a counter against that, not that he tried considering how black holes end turning anything into spaghetti before getting destroyed, until it started effecting Alex differently, as it was starting to drain his health or stamina, until Alex shot concrete into Thirteen's black hole, temporarily neutralizing, until the concrete got disintegrated, but that gave Alex more than enough time to defeat Thirteen. Midnight's Quirk "Somnambulist" was easily neutralized by Alex's special Air Purifier, Alex had recovered a gas mask, a personal air purifier, an O2 Mask, an O2 Filtrator, and a respirator and combined them together, so not only was Midnight's special gas neutralized, it was also purified too, although Alex did admit if Midnight managed to pry or rip off his O2 Mask, she would've won easily. When it came to Hound Dog's Quirk "Dog", Alex was able to use an old trick people in the past used whenever there was a dog problem, like using pepper or water to mess with his scent, and that allowed him to get the drop on Hound Dog. When it came to Chiyo Shūzenji aka Recovery Girl, Alex just forfeit the battle, as he knew Recovery Girl's Quirk and her age although he made sure he was polite about it as much as possible), as he said to "Always respect your elders" and to "Never mess with the Elderly", he even refrained from fighting Shiro, due to the fact that, after he knows Recovery Girl will inevitably pass away, Shiro would be one of the only remaining members in her family that's alive. Finally, Nezu's Quirk "High Specs", his IQ boosting Quirk had prepared him for many things but it didn't prepare him for what Alex had in store. Alex was able to come up with all kinds of complex math calculations on the fly, some that could put even Nezu's level intelligence to shame. The Pro-Heroes now had a lot of data on Alex, although they weren't sure if they should glad they got the data or worried as they now know just how strong he is and if they hadn't got to him before he was fully brainwashed, he would've been unstoppable. But things only got crazier when Alex was fighting All Might in a fake city, but after he punch one of the buildings by accident, the extent of his true power became known as every member of the International Hero Commissions, Government or World Leaders, and all of Pro-Heroes watched him and some of them watched on in horror. With an almighty 'Kaboom!', Alex completely leveled the entire fake city. Alex was mortified by what he saw.
