(Y/N) POV, next morning, 8:21 am
I yawn softly and rub my face slightly. I open the cafe door, stepping in and spotting Ahri almost instantly. She waves at me, grinning widely.
I walk over, sitting down in the chair across from her as she smiles warmly, watching me closely. "Hey, I ordered a glazed donut and an iced frappe for you."
I smile as she slides the drink and donut over, causing me to nod slightly. "You didn't have to ya know." I spoke and stare at the items before locking eyes with her. She was staring. Great. Here come the questions.
"Why do you have bruising around your neck? And cuts? Are those stitches?"
Her questions were fast. I rub my face and stare at her closely. I think for a moment. This is exactly why I don't do bonds like this. Questions get asked to frequently and I hate lying to those I care about.
"I fell down some stairs." I spoke bluntly. Ahri furrows her eyebrows and leans forward. "Stairs bruise your neck like you got choked? Yeah right."
She huffed and looked to the side. Rubbing her face in thought she stared back at me, frowning softly. "Look, (Y/N) I care about you, okay? Just please-"
I shake my head and look down slightly. "I fell down some stairs." I repeat and slowly stare back at her.
She nods and frowns softly. "I just don't see how falling down stairs can do that."
I chuckle and shrug. "It was a circular staircase." She rolled her eyes, looking down at her phone. I stare for a moment before I look off to the side.

I clear my throat and check my phone, the screen slightly cracked. I frown, opening my messages from Akali.

I pocket my phone as Ahri frowns and shakes her head. "Can we pick this up later? I have a meeting-"
I smile at Ahri and nod. "Yeah, I'll catch you later, alright? Text me when you're free."
I spoke as Ahri smiled, standing up. She moves to walk away before stopping, leaning down and kissing my cheek gently. "I'll see you later (Y/N)."
