Chapter 6: Intoxicated

(Y/N) POV

What was that last night with Ahri?

I sit on a bench, rubbing my face softly. This whole week has been one hell of a ride. First I save some girl wearing a hoodie, then I meet a fox, then I meet someone like me. Now I'm struggling between choosing between the two girls.

I rub my face again and stare forward. My eyes land on a familiar figure.

"Ahri?"

I ask and stand up slightly. The woman in question waves and stops directly in front of me. "Hey, I thought I'd find you here."

I frown and stare into her eyes. I feel my head throb before my spider senses go off for a moment.

My eyes lock onto Ahri's before I chuckle and shrug softly. "I'm here." I spoke, feeling her hands cup my face softly. "You know..we could.."

An image of Akali flashed through my head. I frown and look away, clearing my throat. I stare off to the side for a moment. "We could what?" I question and glance at Ahri before staring back at the trees around us in Central Park.

"We could..you know..be a thing?" Once I heard that sentence I felt my heart drop. I shake my head slightly and sigh quietly. "That's not a good idea my job-"

My head starts aching, like I got hit by a train, not fun. I stare to to the side before my eyes flutter. I turn and stare into her eyes. I feel Ahri wrap her arms around my neck, pulling me down slightly.

The glint in her eyes like from yesterday. I frown and feel a soft wet feeling against my lips.

I freeze up. Akali enters my mind once more, my eyes widen, fear and heart ache washing through me. I watch Ahri pull back, smiling innocently. I furrow my eyebrows and clear my throat. "I should uh, get going."

I mutter and grab Ahri's arms, moving them away. Ahri nods and eyes me for a moment with the soft look still present. "I'll see you later." She spoke before turning and walking away.

I watch her leave before touching my lips, shaking my head.

Time skip, next week

I rub my face. It had been a week since the kiss, I'd ignored Akali, not responding to anything. No explanation or anything, just blunt bland responses if I did text back.

I groan in frustration before standing up, knocking coming from my front door. I open it, staring at Evelynn. I frown, shaking my head. "You're hard to track down you know. Ahri doesn't want to give me your number and Akali doesn't want to talk about you."

I sigh softly and allow Evelynn to come in. She smelt like expensive perfume and looked like a goddess.

I watch her before she turns and stares right at me. Her gold eyes piercing into me. "I know about you and Ahri. I also know about you and Akali. So, please. If you break Akali's heart I'll break you."

Her words hung in the air. I had been threatened before. This wasn't anything new. I stare at her before tilting my head slightly, unamused.

"Listen, Evelynn was it? You don't scare me, so please, threatening me won't really do much." I spoke, Evelynn's gaze narrowing at me. I raise an eyebrow, humming lowly.

"I do have a question." I spoke, Evelynn nods slightly, waiting for me to speak.

"Does Ahri..can she manipulate someone with her eyes? Maybe her scent?" I asked. Evelynn stiffens before she looks away, clearing her throat.

Evelynn shrugs and looks away slightly. "Well um..did she kiss you?"

I stiffen and look away. "Yeah, my cheek." Evelynn nods and frowns. "That's how she does it. Once she plants a kiss, well..."

Evelynn clears her throat. I nod my head and frown, looking away slightly. I stare at the wall in thought before looking at Evelynn. She smiles softly before looking at the door. "I should get going. I have a long day looking for Spider-Man." She spoke. I scoff and shake my head, waving as she left my apartment.

A few hours later and here I am, standing outside of a club, Akali sent me the address saying her and her friends were going to be here. Of course I needed to talk to her and maybe clear the air up.

I walk into the club, music blaring, people dancing. I frown softly, pushing through the crowd before coming to a stop. My eyes land on Akali dancing with a guy. He was dark skinned with dreads, almost the same height as her. I frown and shake my head slightly, turning to look away.

"(Y/N)!" She shouted over the music and ran towards me. I frown and offer her a forced smile, tilting my head slightly. "Hey Akali-" I spoke as she hugged me tightly. I frowned and gently pushed her away.

"Look, I need to tell you something. Me and Ahri, well we, well she-"

Akali frowns and stares at me. She clenched her fist and shook her head slightly. "Did you kiss her?"

I instantly shake my head. "No, she kissed me-"

Akali raised her hand and hit my shoulder. "Don't lie, did you kiss her!" She snapped, her eyebrows furrow in anger.

"No she kissed me- she kissed my cheek and then earlier she kissed me but it was like I couldn't stop myself from letting her-"

Akali shakes her head, her fists clenched tightly. She glares at me before turning away.

"Akali I-"

"Save it (Y/N)! I don't know what's gotten into you, just leave me alone."

My heart aches before I look away, nodding. I clear my throat and stare at the crowd of people who were dancing around us.

I stay silent and begin to back step. I take one last look at Akali who turned to look away. My heart aches again before I step back more, beginning to move back through the crowd. Akali turns and stared where I once stood, frowning and looking down.

I shake my head, kneeling down, my gloved hand grabbing the small container. I stare at it, looking up at Akali. She had a scowl on her face as she stared at me.

"Who do you think took her?" I ask, Akali shrugs and looks away from me.

I growl and toss the thug against the wall, my fist connects with the brick wall by his head, causing him to flinch and cover his face.

Evelynn steps forward, placing her clawed hand on my shoulder. "I'll ask again, where is he?"

I stare and slowly reach up, pulling my mask off. Gasps cause me to turn, staring blankly before I smile nervously. "Hey."
