I entered Spazz's room with my mother as we surround him with gifts and a hug breakfast.
He slowly wakes up.
"Happy birthday Raheem!!" We both shout.
He smiles getting up to hug us.
"Thanks yall so much!"
"You're welcome baby. We love you" my mom smiles.
"I love y'all two"
I was super excited about today because not only is it Raheem's birthday but it's his state championship game.
The final game of the season and too be honest I know it was gonna be good.
In the past 3 months, my life has been basically crazy.
Sky had ended up getting an abortion, I felt so bad for her.
Jazz and I been trying our best to make her feel better about the situation.
Then I've been seeing Dayvon more often. We just started dating, I love it here.
But on the positive note, we celebrated my mother's 40th birthday last month and I'm glad she's still here.
Raheem & I father unfortunately didn't get to live to see that age. He died when Raheem was 5 and I was 7.
So thank god for real.
Anyways while Raheem got dressed, my mother and I contacted this car company.
She had bought him a car (he just recently got his permit after he finally took my advice and went to drivers Ed).
She just didn't know if she wanted to gift it to him now or after the game.
I suggested after the game. It was just put a cherry on top of his day.
Especially when he WINS the game.

Raheem exits out the house and enters my car.
"So birthday boy, u have any plans for today?"
"Shit nun for real besides this game, I might go to the movies or some"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah"
"You plan on going with somebody?"
"Why?"
"Sorry I'm just asking " I laughed.
Truth is, I excepted my brother to take one of his little girlfriends.
That boy loved him some women.

As me and my boys got ready for the state championship game, Duke came up to me.
"Aye Spazz?"
"Yeah?"
"Lemme ask you some"
"Ight?"
We walked away from the team for a bit.
"You knew Sky was getting that abortion?""
"Yeah why?"
"Nigga how you knew?"
"Cause she told me, why wouldn't she?"
