After their long and intense conversation, they just stay in silence, basking in each other's presence and warmth.

Louis missed the feeling of having Harry's bubbly presence around him and to have his strong arms wrapped around him.

But mostly, he missed the mop of curls on Harry's head. He loves to massage them, twirl them in his fingers - long story short, he's obsessed with them.

Luckily, Harry doesn't seem to mind that Harry keeps playing with his hair. In fact, the taller lad is practically purring as Louis keeps running his fingers through his hair. Louis just smiles fondly at the younger man as he does so.

"You're beautiful, did you know that?" Harry suddenly mumbles. Louis can feel his eyes staring at him as he is being complimented.

"Your eyes are beautiful. I'm so glad that I get to see those now. And your cute button nose." Harry continues, booping Louis' nose to prove his point, making Louis giggle. "And your hair is so soft..." He can feel Harry touching it ever so tenderly. "You always gloat about my hair and I love it when you do, but your hair is also lovely, Lou."

Louis shyly turns his head away, a bit overwhelmed by all the nice compliments. "Thank you, my love. It's nice to hear someone say I'm beautiful other than my mom and sisters." He chuckles.

"I mean it." Harry emphasizes his previous statement. "You're perfect."

"As are you." Louis comments back. "From your dimples to your lovely curls. You're perfect for me too, Haz."

He can feel Harry's dimples appear under the hand that is holding his cheek. It makes Louis smile softly and he is about to lean in for a peck on the lips, when he can suddenly hear the front door swinging open.

He stiffens in fear, clutching onto Harry's shirt. Hearing threatening noises without seeing what's there is terrifying.

"Louis, why aren't you answering your phone, how did it go with-" Louis can recognize Liam's voice almost as well as his own because they have been friends for so long. So the tension in his shoulders immediately disappears and he loosens his grip on Harry's shirt.

"Liam, you scared the shit out of me." Louis mutters,  but he stands up to give him a hug. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, you promised that you would update me on what happened and I promised that I would come over if it didn't go well, and when I didn't hear from you..." Liam trails off.

Louis curses under his breath. "I'm so sorry, Li. I totally forgot."

Liam hums in a playful manner. "Hm, I can see why. You were preoccupied it seems." He teases, walking away from Louis to where he assumes Harry is standing.

"Hi, I'm Liam. It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise." Harry's deep voice replies. "Louis always speaks fondly about you."

"Awww, Loubear." Liam teases, making Louis send him a glare that could kill. "You are too kind."

"Shut it before I'll never talk fondly about you again." Louis sasses, moving in the direction where Harry's voice sounded from and hugging him closely.

"I know you love me." Liam says knowingly. "I need to get back to my boyfriend, he was also worried about you, Lou. Please text him, will ya?"

"Yeah, yeah." Louis promises. "I love you both but sometimes you two act like two worried parents." He rolls his eyes. "And before you ask, yes Liam, you would be the mom."

Liam softly swats his friend's arm. "Okay, fine, I'll be leaving then." He can hear his best friend heading towards the door.

"Love you, use protection!" Is the last thing Liam exclaims before banging the door shut.

"That little fucker." Louis mutters under his breath, shaking his head, but with the way he says it, it's clear his outburst is meant in a loving way.

Harry clears his throat behind him. "So, Loubear huh?"
