"How much longer is it?" Louis heaves, coming to an abrupt halt as he tries to catch his breath. "You have been telling me for ages that we're almost there and yet, we haven't reached the top yet."
"I promise it's not far anymore. 2 minutes tops." Harry promises, laying his hand on the small of Louis' back. "I would've expected for you to have a better stamina with all the jumping you did the last weekends when we watched footie together with the lads."
Louis softly jabs Harry in the side with his elbow, making the taller lad grunt softly. "It was just a good match, okay? And I wasn't the only one, Niall was about as excited as I was."
Harry hums. "Hm, when you two watch football together it's like you turn 20 years younger."
"Do I need to remind you how you are around Whiskers?" Louis retaliates. "The last time we had to baby sit her for Granny, you were cooing over her for 1 hour straight."
"You're just jealous that she was getting more hugs than you were."
Louis gasps in a way that makes it seem like he's hurt, but a playful smile is perceptible on his face. "That's it, mister. You're sleeping on the couch today."
"Your loss." Harry tuts teasingly, probably referring back to what happened the pervious night. Let's just say things were still quite innocent but there were some wondering hands from both sides.
"Please, I bet that tonight you will be all over me." Louis says confidently as he pretends to remove a long strand of hair out of his face like Cher did in 'Clueless'.
Harry was introducing him to the world of chick flics as many people like to call them. Louis sat with his sisters multiple times when they watched similar movies, but he never liked to watch movies on his own. Harry, however, had multiple film nights with Gemma and continued to do them on his own.
Louis loved watching movies with Harry. He listened to what happened and sometimes, when something funny or romantic happened, Harry would pause the music and demonstrate it on Louis.
Louis loved it when people did gestures like that with him. Sure, he read his hair share of Braille books in which was described how people would roll their eyes as they made a sassy moment or smile when something funny happened, but it was always nice to see if he understood the gestures right.
It would be a bit awkward if he would sexily roll his eyes in front of a guy when it was meant to be sassily. Yeah. That had happened - don't ask.
So, Harry had learnt him the hair flick and the groan that escapes Harry's lips after Louis does it, shows that the poor lad probably regrets it. "Stupid me, showing you that move."
"You love it."
And when Harry doesn't respond, Louis smiles triumphantly as they start walking up the mountain again.
Harry had planned a surprise date. They had continued dating for a little more than two months now and it's all going very well. It's like the time when they were still wearing the blindfolds, but now they're more open than before.
They've opened up about their fears, about their coming outs, about some family problems that they experienced. Louis feels like he knows Harry so well and that it's also mutual.
And the hugs and the other things they have done to also get physically closer is also something Louis definitely doesn't complain about.
"We're here," Harry interrupts his thoughts, letting go off his arm and soon after Louis can hear the sound of a backpack opening.
"I have laid out a picnic blanket, please take a seat, darling." Harry says softly as he guides Louis to the ground. Louis makes himself comfortable as he can hear Harry grabbing more stuff from his bag.
