I woke up by the sound of birds chirping, I stand up, the cool floor sending a shiver up my spine, Today was my birthday!!!!I made my way to the bathroom at the end of the hall because this house only had one bathroom. I washed my face, then brushed my teeth, and then I got dressed , I always wear short sleeved clothes and shorts on my birthday because it was MY special day.

I made my way over to my closet and picked out a white tank top and red shorts.

to be honest I was afraid that people were gonna judge me when I go out like this but I ignored those thoughts and went downstairs.

Dad already knew about my self-harm and he helped ALOT but it's just not that easy.

"Good morning pops," I say to Charlie while going in for a hug, but he just slips back so I don't see what he's hiding behind his back

"Good morning Honey" Charlie smiles at me and it looked like he had something behind his back.

"What's behind your back?" I ask

"Surprise!!!!" He gives me a box wrapped in Christmas wrapping.

"I'm sorry but I didn't have any other wrappings" Charlie says while giving a nervous laugh.

"No, It's...It's perfect Thank you pops" I say then going in for a hug

I haven't felt this happy in so long.

I went back upstairs and placed the gift on the table in my room.

I decided to visit my one and only childhood best friend. Emily Young.

When I used to come here as a kid, she would always play with me, even though I was younger than her

"Hey Daddy I'm going to go visit Emily Young , Because It's been 4 years since I've last seen her" I tell Charlie.

"Ok honey, just be careful while walking into the woods" Charlie tells me.

"I will, bye" I yell from the front porch bc he was in the living room.

I started walking into the woods, the same feeling comes over me again.

I can't explain how it feels but all I know is that I missed this feeling so much.

Everything is still the same as it did 4 years ago.

I still remember the way to Emily's house, I used to come here all the time when I was little.

I was super nervous when I was walking because of the fresh cuts, but thank god my skin heals fast but it was still quite visible.

I finally arrive...

The house still looks the same.

I go up to the entrance when I saw multiple shirtless guys talking to Emily

"Emily" I call out a bit shy

Emily looks up and runs over to me

"OMG RAVEN" she yells as she runs over to me the she hugs me so hard.

"can't breathe" I say cuz she was suffocating me with he bear hug.

"sorry" she laughs and I do too.

"I just missed you so much, Oh god you grew to be a very beautiful woman, and OMG isn't it your birthday today?" she says speaking so happily

"I missed you too, and yes, It's my birthday today" I chuckled.

"Omg happy birthday, how old are you turning?" Emily asks
