Raven's POV

Emily and I started making our way to the kitchen, the soft glow of twilight casting a warm golden hue over the surroundings. As we entered, I could see that the guys were outside. The kitchen buzzed with activity as pots sizzled on the stove and utensils clattered against countertops. The warm aroma of spices filled the air, mingling with the sound of laughter and lively conversation and I could see that the guys were outside.

I started helping Emily cook, I always loved cooking, I just think It's so beautiful.

"So, tell me, do you have a boyfriend or maybe even a girlfriend?" Emily asks.

"Hehe umm, no, I don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend yet" I say, chuckling.

We were talking when Jared came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and spun me around while I laugh and he grins widely.

Then after spinning me he grabbed me and sat on a chair and placed me on his lap and wrapped his hands around me as he watches TV, I am as red as a tomato.

I just met these people yet I'm comfortable enough to be sitting on one of their laps.

Then Sam walked into the living room and glared at Jared.

"Let go of her Jared, you'll make her uncomfortable" Sam says sounding mad.

"Yeah right you're just jealous that I'm hugging and you're not" Jared says sheepishly.

"Jared" Sam says in a warning tone and I swear I could almost hear Sam growling.

Jared lets me go then Emily comes into the room and tells me that someone is calling me on the phone.

I go to the phone and say, "Hello?"

"Hey Honey, Uh I was calling to make sure that you were okay" Charlie says.

"Oh, hey dad, um yeah I'm alright I'm just hanging out with Emily and some of her friends" I say.

"Ok have fun honey, but come back at 7, so we can celebrate" Charlie says.

"Ok dad, bye" I hang up.

I go back to the kitchen to continue helping Emily.

"Sorry about Jared, he seems to get too comfortable" Emily apologizes.

"It's ok, to be honest I surprisingly feel very comfortable with all of you" I say smiling and she just smiled back.

Me and Emily finished cooking and it was 6:30.

"Hey Em, I gotta go. My dad told me to come back home at 7:00, and it takes me about half an hour to get home, so I gotta go," I say.

"Gosh I wish you could've stayed longer but okay I'll see you later lynn" she says, then we hug and say goodbye.

As I'm about to leave, Sam rushes over with a serious expression. "Raven, we can't find Bella, and your dad is at the Clearwaters'," he says urgently.

"Omg what, well can you take me there?" I ask worried.

"yes, of course let's go now" Sam says.

we started walking through the woods and I was standing pretty close to him since I was a bit scared cuz it was dark and You never know what could be hiding in the woods.

as we are walking our arms brush every now and then making me blush and I could swear I saw him smirk, but it was dark so I just thought I was hallucinating.

"So, I heard it was your birthday am I right?" Sam says breaking the silence between us.

"Umm, yeah it is I just turned 17" I say nervously, why the heck do I get nervous around these people?

"Well, happy birthday beautiful" Sam says and smiles at me and I blush really hard but smile back, I 100% look like a tomato right now.

We were walking when we suddenly saw Bella talking and laughing with a boy.

"Bella what the fuck, we were all worried about you and Charlie was worried so much and here you are talking with a boy when the least you could do is send Charlie a message telling him that you were safe, You ill-mannered little bitch!" I yell at her, I don't know what's wrong with me lately but I've been more bold than I've ever been before.

Maybe it's because Sam is next to me so for, some reason I feel like he will protect me, why am I feeling that way towards a stranger?

"Um It's none of your buisness what I do or don't you Freddy Krueger looking bitch" Bella says with a disgusted look on her face.

when she says that, my heart hurts for some reason and then she starts walking my way about to hit when I hear a voice say.

"ISABELLA MARIE SWAN" I hear Charlie yell from somewhere close to where we were standing in the woods.

"I AM SICK OF YOU HORRIBLE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ELLYN, YOU THINK SHE DOESN'T TELL ME ABOUT WHAT YOU AND RENÉE DO TO HER? YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M KICKING YOU OUT, AND I'M NOT BUYING YOU NOTICKET YOU CAN FIGURE THAT OUT YOURSELF AND EVEN THOUGH SHE'S NOT MY BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER, SHE'S BEEN A PERFECT DAUGHTER UNLIKE YOU" Charlie shouts at Bella.

After Charlie said those words to her, she.went.crazy.

she ran up to me and grabbed my hair and I screamed because she had a harsh grip on my hair then she grabbed me and started running while dragging me along with her, I was still screaming cuz she still had my hair in her fist.

I could hear shouting from behind us when we reached a cliff

"You know Raven, I've always wanted to see your swimming skills, you know the ones that you keep bragging about, well...I'll just have to see it myself, bye Ellyn" Bella says mimicking Charlie at the end then she pushed me, I feel myself flying.

The splash creates gentle waves, making the moon's reflection blurry. Underwater, my body moves instinctively, arms and legs slicing through the water smoothly. Each stroke propels me forward gracefully. The cool lake surrounds me, calming any doubts. Bubbles trail behind me, showing my control over the water. Breaking through the surface, I take a deep breath, feeling the rush of oxygen. In this moment, I am more than just swimming; I am one with the water itself, moving smoothly and powerfully, in perfect harmony with the waves.

I never knew why but I always felt peaceful in the water- any kind of water.

Emerging from the water, I feel an unexpected sensation coursing through me. When I glance down, astonishment washes over me as I see a shimmering tail in place of my legs. The iridescent scales sparkle under the moonlight, casting a mystical glow. Stepping onto the sandy shore, the enchantment begins to fade, the tail gradually disappearing into the darkness, leaving only the imprint of the ocean's embrace on my mind. I stand there in disbelief, overwhelmed by unanswered questions swirling in my thoughts, trying to make sense of the inexplicable transformation I just witnessed.

"Raven!" Jacob's voice echoes through the night as he dashes toward me. In one swift motion, he scoops me up, his arms cradling me like a fragile treasure. I meet his gaze, searching for answers in his bewildered expression. "What's the matter?" I inquire, sensing the urgency in his tone. His eyes widen in alarm as he studies my face. "Raven, your eyes..." His voice falters, a mix of disbelief and concern coloring his words. "They're completely black. What's happening to you?"
