The next day felt like hell for Becca. Bucky had been right when he said her shoulder would hurt once the adrenaline wore off, he just didn't specify how much. The only thing worse than the pain was the fact she was on bedrest for three weeks. Three WEEKS. Becca could barely sit still for three hours. She was convinced that this was her punishment for getting shot in the first place.
Bucky didn't come to visit much either, though she didn't blame him. He had other responsibilities besides teacher her. Karpov came in to talk to her once, she had been more than a little weary when he'd come in. He'd asked her a bunch of questioned about the mission and her teacher and every time she answered, he'd peer at her as if to try to figure out if she was lying or not. 'Stupid man' she thought, she'd lied about each and every question. Guess Bucky'd teachings had rubbed off on her. In the end he stood up, nodded at the nurse tending to her IV drip, commended Becca on a job well done, and left.
The days blurred into each other, by the time the second week rolled around, she'd memorized the nurses schedule and shifts, she liked the male nurse better, sometime's he'd talk to her. The severe looking lady nurse never said a word, and Becca was pretty sure she hated her.
Staring at white blank walls could make anyone go crazy, but Becca was going insane. She'd count down the days if she knew what day it was. Instead she's forced to lay in her bed, shoulder and arm wrapped so that she's unable to rip out the stitches, and stare at the ceiling.
She missed her home, her brother, her momma and her dad, she missed...Bucky. She missed Bucky and their stupid sparring matches, and the stupid drills he'd make her do, she even missed when he'd hit her during fighting matches.
So, Becca had decided that she was never going to get hurt again, because this was hell.
