The golden child

Chapter 1

Alexa Williamson was a 14 year old girl living in Islington north London with her foster parents who were very abusive towards her. Alexa's best friend Ava was an angel sent from heaven, nobody knew what alexa went though daily but Ava did and she hated the fact she couldn't do anything to protect her bestfriend from all the abuses she was receiving day in day out at home.
15th April 2022:
It was a Monday and although people hated going to school I loved it as it meant I could escape the reality I was facing at home. I guess you could say I'm smart as I always pass my tests and try my best to study. 7am and my alarm starts blaring I quickly turn around from my stained mattress on the floor to turn it off quickly to avoid waking up my abusers. I quickly got up and headed to the bathroom to get changed before applying some light makeup available gave me to cover up my scars and bruises left by the ones that are supposed to live and care for me. I headed down stairs and the air stunk of cigarette smoke and takeaways, I walked over the the fridge to find something for breakfast but there was nothing in there not the cupboards so I grabbed my bag and quickly left before I get trapped in a nightmare. I walked down the road to meet Ava who has silky blonde hair and was slightly shorter than me. "Hey alexa, how are you?" Ava asked me as I approached her. "Same old Ava to be honest I'm just really drained right now" I replied and after that we walked to school in peace and quiet.

School was over quite quickly as I found learning new information interesting and after school that meant football training, my foster parents thought I was in the library as they think girls shouldn't play football and should stay in the kitchen. As soon as the bell rang me and Ava went to get changed and go on the grass, training lasted an hour so by now it was around 5.15 and we set back off to Ava's house. Ava's house was beautiful it was a new build and it was so clean and tidy you'd think nobody lives there.

Me and Ava headed upstairs to play gigs on her ps5 when she decided to give me one of my birthday presents early as my birthday was the 18th of April, " here you go alexa I hope you love it" ava says as he hands me a envelope. I open the envelope to 2 arsenal tickets at the emirates stadium right next to the tunnel." NO WAY AVA NO WAYYYYY" I start jumping up and down in excitement while Ava stands there smiling at my happiness. The games was for tomorrow evening so tonight I'll stay at Ava's to avoid not being able to go and tomorrow I'll get to see my favourite football team play!!
