We all sat down at the table and ate waffles that Katie McCabe made and for the first time in my life I felt content.
Leah spoke after we had all finished eating" I think it's time for some presents don't you girls?" Everyone cheered in unison and with that we walked over to the sofa and I sat down while everyone took turn handing me presents. I started opening them first off with Beth and viv who bought me some clothes from adidas and some books,Katie got me some bath bombs and hair products,lessi got me a water bottle and some clothes with the help from Ava. And last of not least this present had me in tears,Leah got me a MacBook and a iPhone 15 plus, for a while I stayed silent not knowing how to deal with my emotions before bursting out into tears. Everyone rushed over and Leah said"why are you crying baby what's wrong why are you sad" and thats when i was finally able to speak the words"im not sad mum im so happy I've just never had presents before so im feeling a bit overwhelmed".Leah had a smile on her face from ear to ear and thats when i realised i had just called her mum and I wasn't mad about it because for the first time in my life I've felt loved,happy and peaceful.Leah helps me carry my presents to my room while the other girls set up a surprise downstairs and while we were in my room Leah said"Lex you dont need to call me mum if you dont feel comfortable however i do love hearing it." I replied"it just happened but i want to call you mum as yes we have been apart for so long but you gave me life and im so happy to be back with you" and with that we shared a hug and walked back downstairs to the living room filled with balloons and a banner saying"we are going to the euros 2022!!" I started jumping up and down so exited for my mum and her teammates knowing that this summer will be an amazing one to remember i can already feel it in my bones.
