The moon arose over the boiling isles, and everyone was asleep, all except Eda. She was in the throne room because the emperor requested to see her. She just had to wait for him to show. In all honesty, she had half a mind to leave right now. While considering her options, she stayed because well she had to then hear his chilling voice. "Edalyn." Eda looked up, seeing Emperor Belos sitting on his throne. Eda bowed out of respect. "Yes, emeror belos?" Eda answered. "How is your mission going?" He asked, Eda stood up straight. "I'm investigating.." Eda answered.

Emperor Belos hummed, confusion in his tone. "Hm. Interesting. Terra informed me that 3 of them escaped the caformitorium" Belos replied. Eda bit her lip. "Y-yes.. They did blow a hole in the wall somehow" Eda admitted. "Well don't let it happen again, do you understand?" He asked. Eda nodded and prepared to take her leave.

She left, and closed the door behind her, exhaling. She then saw Terra walk by with a smirk on her face. Eda glared at her, then went to her room. She sat on her bed and sighed. "Jeez.. What the hell.. " Eda groaned, then flipped back. She was getting in deep and had to get out quickly. Eda stood back up and stood out on the balcony. The cool air and dark night calmed her nerves. You'd never guess but she could appreciate a good view and a peaceful environment.

Only Lilith and Darius knew this about her. Lilith grew up with her, and Darius observed Eda enough to find out and point it out. She looked out, seeing the moon sparkle and dimly light the sky. While looking below she was able to see someone. As she looked closer, she could see the familiar bat mask and mint green hair. Eda gasped, and that's when they took off. Without a second thought, Eda used a plant spell to slide down the castle walls and chase after them.

The woods were dark so Eda cast a small light spell that flew in front of her. As she ran after them, her mind was racing. What if she saw it wrong? Was this even worth it? There was no time to keep thinking, she ran a little faster, starting to catch up to them. "Stop now!" She yelled, then saw them slowing down. Her jaw clenched, as she punched, and tackled them down. Unfortunately, eda didn't account for how strong they were. She was stronger than the average female, but they were stronger. She was flipped over and held down by her hips. "H-hey!! Let me go! What's wrong with you!?" She yelled. "Sh! Be quiet!" They scolded. Eda was baffled. "I am a coven head! How dare you!" Eda argued until they covered her mouth with their hand. "Please! Please.. I just need to talk to you" they pleaded.

She was taken aback, but her expression softened. "Please, will you at least hear me out?" They asked. Eda looked at them, then slowly reached her hand out. She didn't slap them, but instead carefully took their mask off. She saw their green eyes and gentle expression. No sign of animosity whatsoever. They weren't trying to harm her. Eda slowly nodded. Raine took their hand off her mouth, then stared down at her for a second. "thank you.." They replied, and slowly got off her, letting Eda sit up.

"What is so important you have to stand outside my window?" She asked, with a sort of curious tone "I know you may not believe me, so that's why I'm going to show you" thus said, and stood up holding their hand out for her. Eda got up on her own and then followed them. As they were walking Eda finally asked. "What you're name?"
"Raine whispers, mi Amor"

Eda didn't respond, mostly because she had no idea what the fuck they just called her. "Don't call me that," she said sternly. She wasn't sure if ur was an insult or not, but she wasn't just going to let someone insult her even if she wasn't sure. They made it to a stone bridge, and then Raine grabbed her hand and led her to the edge. "Look down," they told her.

Eda saw 3 children, looking nowhere over the age of 12, being harassed by coven scouts with a sigil-marking glove. Yelling at them. Eda was shocked "Those.. Those are coven scouts.. " Eda muttered. "Yeah.. " Raine replied. "No.. No.. This is so wrong! Absolutely Not" Eda complained and jumped down from the bridge. Raine was utterly shocked. "Hey! What the fuck?!" Eda questioned yelling at the scouts. Both of them stood at attention realizing it was their coven head. "U-uh.. Ms. Clawthorne! What are you doing here?" One of the coven scouts asked. "Don't ask me shit!" Eda scolded and snatched the glove away. "You're literally forcing children into a coven! What's wrong with you!? These kids are like 12!" Eda yelled. "W-we were just following orders!" The second coven scout whined. "Who gave the order?" Eda asked sternly. "Terra Snapdragon! Ma'am! " the first one blurted out. "Get the fuck outta here" Eda scoffed and watched them run off.

Raine witnessed everything and realized they were right to trust her of all the coven heads. Eda turned to the children and kneeled to them. "Do you guys know how to get home?" They nodded. "Good. And don't stay out so late again" Eda commanded gently, and watched the kids run off as well. Her head hung low, she couldn't believe something like this happened. She then felt Raine behind her, so she asked. "How long.." Raine didn't know exactly what she meant, so they stayed quiet. "Raine! How long has this been going on!?" Eda asked, but louder and she seemed upset. "Years.. " Raine muttered. Eda suddenly got angry, and she turned to them, grabbing Raine by their shirt. "Tell me the truth! I don't believe you!" She yelled. They looked at her with pity and grabbed her wrist. "This.. Has been happening for years, and IV been working to stop it. And I'm asking for your help" Raine replied. Raine slowly took her hands, while she let go of them. "Please.. Just think about it" they pleaded.   Eda nodded, and slowly backed away and left.

over the next couple of days, everything Eda saw was a red flag.  The constant people being taken to the caformitorium, all the scouts coming and going.   Eda was currently standing, leaning against the wall. All she could think about was Raine, what she saw, then remembered.
"Terra Snapdragon"

She started to get angry of course only Terra would be cold-hearted to have coven scouts harass kids.  "Yo, Eda,"  Darius said, finally touching her shoulder. Eda looked up and saw Darius behind her. "Oh! Uh.. Hey," Eda muttered. "I was calling you, didn't you hear me?"  He asked. Eda decided she'd keep what happened to herself, after all, who else would agree with this?. "No.. I guess not, just thinking" Eda replied, then seeing her sister beside Darius. "What in Titian's name could have you so zoned out?" She asked.

Eda looked down. "Just.. Thinking about someone" Eda admitted. Lilith and Darius exchanged suspicious glances.  Eda wasn't one to be distracted by other people. "Who is it?" Lilith asked.   Eda shook her head. "Nobody.. Important, I gotta go" Eda sighed and walked away.   Darius didn't seem to believe her. "She hiding something," he said outright. "I see it too, did Terra say something to her?"   Lilith asked as Eda and Terra are known to get into it. "No, not that I know of"   Darius shook his head.  They had no idea what was going on with her.

Meanwhile, Eda found Terra in the dungeon, berating a coven scout. "I mean honestly, how incompetent do you have to be?" She asked. "Hey! Watch it Terra" Eda said sternly.  Unfortunately for Terra, she did technically have to respect Eda since she was superior.   Eda dismissed the coven scout, glaring Terra down. "What do you want-.. Is there something I can help you with?"  Terra asked, quickly correcting herself. "Explain to me why you ordered a couple of scouts to harass 2 children into a coven?"  Eda asked, putting base in her voice. "Well.. I-.. I was simply following the orders of the emperor" Terra replied, her shuddering letting Eda know she was guilty.  "I don't want to hear your bullshit! If I ever find you pulled this crap again, me and you are going to have a problem" Eda yelled, then left.

Now that she knew about this, she refused to stand by and just let it happen. Her morals didn't always lie in the same bed as the law, she wanted everything to be fair, and she wanted peace and adventure.  But stealing magic and forcing people wasn't something she wanted to be apart of.
