"Can't blame her for her beauty,She wins with her hands down"
Jezebel-Sade
Silence. The one thing Sadie heard each morning, although it didn't last long it was nice while it lasted. Her mom worked night shifts as a nurse at the near by hospital and would come home real early. Her dad was never really around and her siblings always slept in till belated hours. Every morning before the Sun would come up Sadie would sneak out with both of her boards to surf the park pier along with T.A., Jay and Stacy. Sadie grabbed her boards and quietly exited through the front door. She skated looking around at passersby until she reached the pier. As she walked down to the cove she noticed the boys had arrived before her.
Sadie's pov:
"Hey boys."
"Wassup Sadie" T.A.was the first to greet, bringing me into a hug. "Sadie...thought you were gonna flunk on us" Jay said. "Have I ever flunked on you. I just woke up a little late." I replied turning to make eye contact with the last member of the group i had yet to greet. "Stace" I said looking down at my board. "Hey Sade" he said as he gave me a gentle smile. Every time I see Stacy I don't know how to feel, no matter how much we hang out or see each other I always have trouble making conversation with him. He always calls me "Sade" which not a lot of people do, at least not any of my friends. I mean once I see him I dread having to come up with responses to answer his dry questions but it always seems that by end of the night I dread ending a conversation with him. "It's big today." Stacy says looking towards the waves coming in. "They're already here huh?" Implying to the men who beat us to the water. "That's skip charging." T.A. says as he points to the man surfing the wave. "Shit, dude", "it's judgment day guys, let's paddle" T.A. says as we start walking off. We get stopped by some random guy with a mustache in a wet suit otherwise know as chino. "You broads aren't surfing now." T.A. steps up to look at the man "I ain't surfing no sloppy seconds." The man somehow gets closer "you're working rat patrol, mop top." He turns to the rest of us to speak "Jay, you're on parking lot detail-keep it local." He turns to the only ones left, me and Stace
"Alvez, Peralta..the boneyard. I don't want any of our boards hitting a piling. I better not see any digs." His demands get interrupted by skip and his group erupting with laughter. "if you wanna surf the cove you gotta earn it." He says as he finally walks away leaving us to tend to our duties. Me and Stacy keep our distance as we help the group of men retreat their boards when they go down. As they get out of the water we get in, skip turns to meet us half way "let's go brothers, Get out there. Don't screw up." As we get out there Tony catches the first wave, then me next, Jay and finally Stacy but he gets wiped out within seconds. Skips whistles at him to get his attention as we get out the water. "Back to the boneyard for you pal." I look at Stace as he has his head down "don't let them get to you, it's not worth it." He looks up with embarrassment to make eye contact. "it's whatever."AN: I'm so so sorry if this was bad it's my first time, please give feedback so I can work to improve on it. Thank you and as always-Lee
