"Dad, I don't want to go here!" I said for the hundredth time this day. Dad brought me to a car racing game today and I don't know any person here! "Daddy!"
Ayaw kong pumunta dito. Fuck, I still have a hangover after drinking last night. Kakagising ko lang kanina when Dad called me to go here.
"Shut up and enjoy the game, Syl." Emelia interfered. I rolled my eyes and ignored her. "Sungit pa rin."
Ah, I forgot that this witch is here. Akala ko ay isa lamang 'to sa bonding namin ni Dad— but then, I saw her. What a fucking nightmare.
"Oo, lalo na sayo." I whispered and I guess she heard that because she laughed softly. Ew, feeling mahinhin.
"I don't get why he likes you." Emelia said and chuckled sarcastically. I side-eyed her for talking to me.
Feeling close.
"Mama mo," naiiritang bulong ko. Mahina siyang natawa ulit.
"Na kabet ng tito mo?" Biro niya. Gusto kong matawa pero pinigilan ko ang sarili ko. "I'm kidding. Aren't you curious who's that person?"
Nice joke, pwede ka na magtrabaho as comedian.
"No. Why would I believe a liar in the first place?" I asked but I was looking at someone else.
"Di ko siya sinulot."
"Walang nagtanong."
"You should know," she said and rolled her eyes. "I want your hate for me to end."
"Demanding, aren't we?" I laughed sarcastically. I faced her and scoffed. "I don't get why he's hanging out with you either."
"Oh, you'd know soon." She laughed and looked away with a smirk. "Tell me, Amy. Why did you just ignored us after you confessed?"
I froze. I couldn't talk and I don't even know what to say. Mas malala pala ‘to kaysa sa research paper na ginagawa namin.
"You have a plan in mind, don't you?" She asked and laughed softly. "He would be so happy then."
"What the fuck do you guys mean?!" I asked, starting to get frustrated. "You guys always tell me that-"
"Shh," she shushed me and put her fingers on my lips. "The game is starting."
I looked in front and saw that the racers were ready to race with their race cars. I fixed myself and put on a stoic face.
"Who's that?" I asked Dad when the red car successfully overtook the yellow car.
I found the move.. cool. He did it in such a cool way that I can't even explain how he did it. Masiyado akong lutang sa nakita ko.
"The red car? That's Kairos," Dad answered. My body froze.
"Oh... Vasquez? Kairos Lucienne Vasquez?" I tried to say it in a calm voice as possible. He furrowed his eyebrows and nodded.
"Yeah... Emelia's best friend and as far as I know, best friend din ng kuya mo." he answered and looked at the big screen.
"He's cool, isn't he?" Emelia asked. I glared at her and looked at the big screen.
"The yellow car is more cooler than him," I said and laughed sarcastically.
"Alright. I'll tell Kylo about that." She said and chuckled.
"Is that why you're here?" I asked coldly. "Is it because he's here too?"
"Yeah? Ano bang alam ko sa racing na 'to? I'm a badminton player, remember?" She giggled as if she really found that funny even though it's not.
"Badminton player but couldn't compete with me?" I tried to tease her.
