The Maze of Fear

Act 1 part 1

"Alexander...crowned prince of Kingsland...i see you...i see your fear...your true fear"

...

"So rude of me to not present myself...my name is The Executioner...im in charge of your fears that seem to...lie within the your castle walls... I'll bring you home.."

...

"Find the King."

That's the moment when Alex woke up, he woke up with his back laying again a rock. In the middle of a dense and dark forest. He got up, composed himself then called for his friends

"Ruby! Gene! Twinkle! Where are you?!"

He yelled, no response. He tried again. Again. No answer. He looked around for his sword. It disappeared. Great. This is just great. Defeated Alex tries to make his way through the forest hoping to find his friends instead he found a strange looking door, wait what? A door? In the middle of the forest? Alex knew it was a bad idea but he hand no other option did he? He entered the door. A blinding red light hit him. And soon he found himself in a castle like setting.

A dark ominous castle. Broken walls,vines seeping through. Silent. Dead silent. Alex walked around, kinda stiff, since he tries to be careful, he's unarmed, he's alarmed. He feels exposed with no way of protecting himself. He needs to find a weapon. And fast.

While he was exploring he heard some laughs. Then cries. It sounded a bit too much like Twinkle so he approached the sounds

"Twinkle?" He called out. Before he could react the screams got louder and it sounded like there are more than just one person. Soon five princesses like ghosts flew past Alex, screaming in agony

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Alex said trying to process what just happened

"Oh you've met the Damsels! They are sweethearts, they aren't hostile"

Alex brushed off the Executioner's words and continued walking. The atmosphere felt heavy, it felt very heavy, suffocating, he thought about his friends,are they alright? Are they hurt? He can't be with them right now, he can't...he feels like he's let them down...he didn't..did he? Did he let them down? But everything happened so suddenly. He's all alone. Alone with his thoughts. Alone in an unknown castle, with unknown entities, unarmed...Alex felt small. Like he never did before ,he felt useless, a knight can't be a knight without his sword, and Alex is a knight.. without his sword..lost like a puppy. Alex snapped from his thoughts when he heard the same screams again, now he could hear what they are saying

"Where are you?..."

"When will you come?..."

"Save me from this agony..."

"So much pain..."

They cried. The Damsels aren't something dangerous, just hurt souls waiting for salvation. For their prince charming

"So cold..."

"So alone..."

They cried. Alex could feel pity for them. He can't imagine for how long have they been stuck in here. For how long they've been waiting,for how long they we're alone. In pain.

"Come back... please come back.."

He was wondering how did they get in this position? Where's their prince and why did they abandon them? So much pain and for what? For sick pleasure. Alex was about to continue exploring when accidently he bumped over some armor that was standing there, the attention was all over him as the Damsels began screaming and grabbing Alex by his arms

"WAIT-" he said as he was being dragged at a fast pace by the Damsels. They dropped him in the back of the castle and left, Alex looked up and saw a lot of eyes looking at him.A growl from then and there. And knight armour seeping through the very little light the room had. . The monsters presented themselves in front of the young prince, a threat Alex could fight easily if he was armed...which he was not

"Shit..."

From behind the walls the Executioner watched. Watched as the prince's distress was visible on his face,he was enjoying this, a bit too much, sadly for the prince and luckily for him, the fun's not over...it has just begun ..
