The Maze of Fear

Act 1 part 2

Alex looked around as the monsters made themselves clear before the prince, monsters, knight like. With armour helmet..torn apart, large, empty mouth,torn clothes, growls and whines as they all looked at him. Alex looked around to find something, a weapon anything, because he knows he won't make it out alive if he doesn't do something quick. The Knights approach him, slowly. Nothing is in Alex's sight so he has to resort to his fist. Before the Knights could jump at his throat Alex threw the punch first managing to leave the area running as fast as his legs could take him. Passing some Damsels and entering in a room,the room had a different vibe than the rest of the castle. It was light, warming to say the least. What the hell it's going on

"Alex!" He heard a woman's voice yell

Alex looked around the room to see a blonde woman standing at the window. She wasn't Leanora..no..

"Alex be careful!" She yelled. He remembers this. this was the time he just started his sword training. His mother watching from the window.

"Pfft what will i do with this boy?..."

Before Alex could do anything the room changed once again. Same room, now the air feeling suffocating. Kendrick and his wife entering the room both visibly angry with each other

"What's wrong with you Camilla?! You can't let Alex go through that pain!"

Kendrick shouted

"He must learn to respect his orders, Kendrick! He failed in the erosion, his instructions we're clear spare NO fairy!"

"He's also 14! He's a child! My God I can't believe you're agreeing with that punishment!"

The Erosion.. Alex's grandfather was always a tyrant, he stepped closer to the door. He looked at it and noticed himself standing behind the small crack, listening. He remembers. He remembers how he got his scar. His first ever scar, on his neck, for simply being a good person.

Alex decided to leave maybe that will bring him to where he was. But no. He was still in this memory. The atmosphere changed again. He heard footsteps and turned his head towards the way the sound was coming from

"Father please! He's just a child he didn't mean to disrespect you!" Kendrick said as he tried to convince his father to just drop the idea and forgive his son

"My son, Alexander is a good boy.. I'll admit that but his instructions were clear. He didn't comply,he must be punished. Stay away." He said as he left Kendrick in the middle of the hall

Alex could feel his blood boil only watching this, was the Executioner playing with his mind?! What's going on?!

The atmosphere changed again. It was night. He wondered some more until he got into the dungeon parts of the castle. He could hear himself.

"Please! I didn't mean to i promise I'll never wrong you again!"

He pleaded. He remembers how much he begged his grandfather to show mercy

"Im sorry child.."

That's all Alex heard before screams, screams of agony his own screams. Alex's eyes teared up only hearing in how much pain he was. The screams stopped. That's the moment he probably passed out back then.

"Let's give him something to remember his mistake" One of the knights said before their drew their swords and...pause. From there Alex found himself back in the hall

"What the fuck is going on?!" Alex tried to compose himself. He was in front of his own room. He entered slowly. There he was.. with Kendrick by his side.

"I tried my son...im..so sorry...you didn't deserve this.."

Alex never understood why him showing mercy was such a bad thing and was punished for it. He now understands. Back then..he didn't. He couldn't cry..poor soul..he was bruised,his shirt full of blood and the dry tears on his face were still visible. Kendrick has been there..

"Do you need anything?" Kendrick asked trying to make his son feel better

"My mom..."
"My mom..."

Both versions said in unison. Back then. He needed his mom more than anything. He needed her..yet she was no where...she agreed to this..she couldn't comfort him... Alex didn't even notice when tears started to fall. He looked at the image in front of him. It broke him..

And like that...he was back in the twisted castle. The same hall.

Alex couldn't understand a single thing.  He brished it off and continued to walk towards the throne room, maybe he'll find something there
