Chapter 2
(Beginning of journey)The rest of the pages contain pictures of a train through a dark tunnel which had few demonic features and few creepy and angelic faces slightly visible from the dark or a train passing through a beautiful ocean with little and kinda cute aquatic creatures, not normal though while on the next page lay images of a creepy ocean with scary sea mosnters. Other pages also had pictures like these which were probably directly from a fiction movie. I closed the magazine and kept it on a table in front of me. I leaned on my seat and closed my eyes hoping to sleep when suddenly, I heard a voice: “what the heck are they trying to say with help these stupid magazines.” A conductor rushed towards that passenger and asked him to not scream but he kept on doing that. Conductor tried to make the person sit but it didn’t work. An announcement was made again: “all passengers are request to bow your head as on the next station will arrive guards to take the mess creator away.” I didn’t know if I should resist but right now I felt that following the orders will be the wisest decision as I have no idea what’s coming. I just simply put my head down and closed my eyes I really didn’t want to invite any trouble. The train stopped with a horn. I could hear the gates opening and chill air entering inside. I heard few footsteps passing me suddenly, the man started screaming awfully. I couldn’t even Imagine what was happening with that man. I wanted to look but my gut told me not to do anything stupid. The curiosity in me increased. As I was about to take a sneak peek I heard “hey look that person is sneakily watching us!” My heart sank. I heard footsteps coming towards me, I was just about to look at them but then I thought I should rather avoid trouble by not looking at them and I heard them moving past me. I was squeezing my eye tight as I heard a scream of a girl claiming it wasn’t her and protesting to let her go. I felt someone holding my hand and it was a girl’s voice saying: “Please save me from this demon! Please anyone!” I felt adrenaline rush in my body. In reflex I was just about to look when suddenly, a hand banged at my head pinning me back to the table again. I heard a creepy laugh and the footstep’s voice started fading away but the screams of that guy and girl faded only after they were thrown out of the train. I heard voices other than theirs as well…. Probably they were of few more unlucky passengers like them who were getting thrown off the train. After few minutes of horror screams which seemed like hours, finally, the screams stopped. A dead silence was spread all over the train, the breaths could be heard, the air could be felt, the sound of the doors closing was only first sound to be heard. “Passengers, the guards have already deboarded the train, you may sit back again at your ease. We hope for your cooperation for your own betterment.”
The hand lifted from my head as I lifted my head. It was the girl in front of me who prevented me from looking up earlier. I looked at her and wanted to thank her but she said before me: “You should follow all the rules. I know that you must be curious so am I, but this curiosity may lead to our deaths.” I nodded my head and looked down I saw the tiles of the train. It was a mixture of black and white color. I looked around. I saw pure horror on the faces of everyone. They were either staring at blank or scanning the place or other people’s faces. I looked at the girl in front of me, she was looking at her hands fidgeting her fingers of both hands together placed on the table. She probably sensed that I was looking at her so she looked at me. “Well, my name is Brenda, yours?” She asked me. “Ervin” I replied. Then the silence was back again. Probably she was trying to initiate a conversation so she can escape the fear. I thought to help her “So what brought you here?” I asked. She looked at me with raised eyebrows: “Uh…just the curiosity of the other world.” She again looked down and spoke in a lowly voice: “Well…actually I had no reason to live in this world. I know that this decision of mine can bring even worst turns in my life but…. even if chance to be happy is one percent, I would go for it.” ‘Even if the percent of meeting Ava is one, I would go for that.’ My previous words from nowhere popped in my head. Ava…. I thought. I didn’t ask her what she went through. Maybe it wasn’t a very good idea I thought.
A few minutes and from nowhere I heard ‘No way…you will never meet her’ it was a heavy manly voice whispering in my ears. The voice was very scary. I was looking at Brenda to check if she heard anything. For about a minute she was expressionless and suddenly she looked at me with a startled face. I understood that the ride has now actually started.
