"Your Highness, it's time to get ready for......" when Rita entered Prince Pete's chamber after preparing his attire n all the necessities for the dinner, she saw Prince Pete in his wolf form lying in one corner of his large bed, his body now looking smaller for the large wolf he is and his ears flatten down against the head, eyes filled with worry and uncertainty.

After getting the sudden news just a day before, that he was betrothed and not only that but to Vegas, Pete didn't have much time to process everything as he rushed to prepare for his now mate and his months-long crush's arrival the very next day, he tried to match his attire in blue to as close to Vegas' black to make the best real first impression on the lord, to not be invisible to him this time and it was all good, He was excited for Vegas' arrival with a silent prayer in his heart for the reality to be what he is anticipating, to the proposal be of Lord Vegas' and not of Prince Kim's because now Pete was in no position or left with no choice to even refuse the proposal.

And everything was going well until Pete lost a few of his breaths as Lord Vegas got off his carriage, but it was bearable, even when Vegas kept walking closer, even when Prince Kim's over-sweetened and glacé aura and scent hit Pete's senses, it was irritating, still bearable. But Pete lost his senses when Vegas' refreshing, and mild citrusy and woody scent came on to him like a strong gust of wind straight through a pine forest and those gazing dark black eyes pulled him down into the gaping abyss and he knew that for him now there is no way out.

Pete somehow managed to keep himself sane and in a single piece, trying not to fall apart or melt with each look towards the Lord or from a look towards him. He somehow managed to come back to his bedchambers and the emotions he was feeling were out of his control and a lot for his human form to contain. The Pete who entered his bedchambers was not his human form but his wolf form who wanted to run away, to run as far, as deep into the forest to rhe mountains until the air around him becomes ice cold. But he can't, he had a dinner to attend later, and a mate to face again, so instead he curled up in one corner of his large bed trying to hide or to get vanished suddenly and completely.

That was one thing to worry about but then there was this uncertainty of his future that he didn't had time to worry about till now amongst all the excitement of waiting for Vegas. "What will I do from now on? I will get used to him, right? At least prince Tankhunn will accompany us to the dinner and maybe before the wedding i will get few more months to get to know Lord Vegas, maybe i can meet him few more times during these months before moving in with him. Do I need to move to The Carmine Kingdom? But I am the heir of cerulean island, shouldn't Lord Vegas come and live with me? But he has a family there...."

"Your Highness, it's time to get ready for......" Rita entered breaking Pete's chain of thoughts and being well aware that he has to go, Pete woke up lazily signaling Rita to leave.

When Pete was reaching the informal living, he heard Prince Tankhunn talking to his husband, loud as always. Pete entered with a smile greeting them "Hello your Highness, Hello Sir, how have you been? ....................... oh, Chey is here too ...... Are you enjoying your stay?"

"Chey is loving the Island and the weather here, but sadly he will be leaving with Kim" instead of Chey, Tankhunn replied with a wink as Pete sat down beside him.

"So how do you like my arrangement?" Prince Tankhunn continued with a big smile, turning towards Pete to which Pete wanted to reply with "You are great your highness and my best friend" But those words didn't come out his lips as he was busy giving him the biggest shy smile.

"I'm little worried and scared" Pete spoke after some thought.

"Don't worry, my cousin is not as scary as he looks"

"His Majesty has arrived at the dining hall" Rita came informing pete.

"Elder Brother" As they were about to enter the dining hall, Prince Kim called from behind and Prince Tankhunn turned back to give a hug to his brothers "My Lovely Brothers, finally you came to meet me?

"Aah stop being the drama queen, you know we are not here for you" Prince Kim replied while getting crushed by Tankhunn's hug.

"How have you been elder brother?" Lord Vegas asked smiling at the side and Tankhunn moved to hug him "Oh my dear Vegas, I'm so happy for you"

Pete entered to find The King seated at the head of the table and he moved to sit on his right.

"Come sit by my side son" King Arch asked Vegas as others entered and Vegas took the seat on left of the King.

Chey was standing at a distance, confused to where to sit at the table when Tankhunn guided him on the chair beside Vegas then himself moving to sit beside Pete, guiding his husband to sit on his other side.

"You can sit beside Chey" Tankhunn told Kim who was confused with his brother's behavior and sensing it would be awkward for him to sit beside his brother-in-law, with whom he never had any conversation before, so he decided it's better to sit beside this new kid as he has to take him back to the Carmine kingdom, so better to know him now to ease the week long return journey.

"Let me introduce, this is Chey, my sweet friend.

Chey, this is my youngest brother Kim, and this is Lord Vegas, whom I have already introduced to you back in our Palace" Tankhunn introduced them to each other with a big smile

"Nice to meet you Your highness" Chey Greeted Prince Kim with a smile "Nice to meet you again Lord Vegas" Chey Greeted Vegas with now his smile adorning hint of shyness.

Petes gaze turned from shyly smiling Chey to Prince Tankhunn who was sitting with a wide proud smile, leaving Pete wondering "Is Prince Tankhunn my friend or my foe"

So Sorry for the late update, but it's finally here, thanks to my phone that wasn't working properly, maybe a hint to get a new phone 😅 and finally I can open my laptop to continue this story 🖤💙
