(Ironhide's P.O.V.)

It has been a few weeks since Stacy was returned to us by Barricade and he has adjusted to life among the Autobots well. He has become like a second father to Stacy and I believe she is helping the mech repair is own spark.

Though here recently Stacy had been begging me to allow her to get a rodent from something called an animal shelter. I do not understand why she believes we need a rodent in our housing unite but she seems to have her heart set on one of them. Primus help me if it is anything like the one Sam has.

Stacy was perched on my shoulder and it would seem that our discussion on the rodent was far from over.

"Please Ironhide I really, really want a dog. It'll make a great companion for when you go on missions and keep me safe. Please please please please!"

I sighed heavily knowing I could say no to her. "Alright we can go to this animal shelter and adopt a rodent."

I felt a wave of joy, happiness, and excitement all in one and I couldn't help but smile at her happiness as a face splitting grin settled on her own face. How could I say no to that?

We got to the shelter and Stacy's excitement only seemed to grow more and more as we approached the door. She could keep the smile off her face as she walked inside and approached the desk where we were greeted by a very chipper looking woman behind a desk. It made my skin crawl she was one of those fake people Stacy talks about.

"Hi there! How can I help you?" Ugh even her voice is high pitched and fake sounding.

"Yes we were hoping to adopt one of your last chance dog's." My sparkmate smiled brightly as she spoke.

"Are you sure I couldn't interest you in a puppy they are so much more playful than some of our older dogs." The femme sounded shocked at my loves choice is rodent or dog as she said and it irritates me that she would question her.

"Yes, I'm sure." Stacy looked at the older woman more firmly. Stacy may only be seventeen but she knew what she wanted and she didn't like being questioned.

The woman was surprised but nodded and motioned for us to fallow her to the back. She couldn't seem to take her eyes off of me. I grunted at her and took Stacy's hand in my own and continued to fallow her. The woman glared slightly before she turned around and opened the door.

My audioreseptors were bombarded by the sounds of loud barking echoing off the concrete walls and floors. Taking in my surroundings I couldn't help but notice one thing. This place looked more like a prison than a shelter of any kind.

I released Stacy's hand to allow her to look around more down the rows of cages and she stops in front of one. Bending down to be at eye level with the animal inside she smiled bright and waved be over.

"This one. I want him." She grinned bright at me as I approached the cage she was looking into.

I looked at the animal inside and one thing caught my optics right away. "Aren't these rodents suppose to have four legs not three?"

Stacy nodded and smiled sadly. "Yes they are it seems that this guy lost his right hind leg to something." She turned and motioned the girl over. "What happened to his leg?"

The girl looked at the rodent inside the cage and sighed. "He was a military dog. He and his handler where hit by a bomb and his handler didn't make it. He is a specially trained to sniff out weapons of all kinds and bombs too. Though the soldiers wife didn't want Teddy and the time it took to care for a special needs dog like him. So she brought him here."

I looked at this creature and looked into his eyes and saw that he has seen much of the same things I have in war. If we are going to get anything it was going to be him. He lost his partner a true friend to a human war something I could relate too.

"We'll take him." I said firmly look at the girl before me and she seemed a bit taken back by my gruff voice.

"Are you sure I mean he's scheduled to be put down later today."

Stacy gasped and I could feel horror pass through her through our bond as she quickly nodded her head. "Yes, yes, yes! We will take him. We will have this amazing war hero from an unjust death."

The woman nodded and opened the cage after grabbing a leash from the wall and putting it on Teddy's collar. The dog limped or hopped out I'm not quite sure which it was and his tail was wagging really quickly.

After a quick internet search I found that Teddy was a German Shepherd and look at Stacy I saw she had fallen for this dog quickly and there was no turning back now.

"If you would fallow me we will do the paper work and get you set to take Teddy here home." She handed me the leash and walked back out the door we came in through.

I feel like teddy here will be a great addition to our family unite.
