After this strange encounter with the weird stranger, I was then far more eager to head home. I was looking for Andy, so that based on how drunk she was I can decide whether to call a cab or not. As I was about to get up, I saw Andy walking in my direction already. She was followed by someone. "Here, presenting to you my very loving and charming, my childhood bestie, Veer !", Andy exclaimed.
When my eyes met her bestie, I was like WTF ! "Well let me tell you that your bestie sucks terribly at flirting. You must tutor him in this regard.", I spoke with annoyance clearly visible in my voice. "How did you know that? Have you two met before?", Andy asked with excitement in her eyes. "Yeah, unfortunately I encountered this lady a while ago.",Veer spoke. "Unfortunately? Actually you are the fortunate one because you met me. And have you always been such a blockhead ?",I mocked him. "Oh come on, we were strangers few minutes ago, can't you leave that and start over again?" after saying this he took a long breath and further continued. "So, Hey. I'm Veer Ghosh. Andy's childhood friend and definitely not annoying as you. And you are?", he spoke with a mean tone. I was starring right into his dark brown eyes and spoke, "Myself Adhira, Andy's very close friend and definitely not mean like her blockhead childhood bestie who wasn't there for her when she craved for a good friend. Luckily she had me. Glad to meet you." we both smiled at eachother, knowing it wouldn't be easy to get along. "So, if you two are done with your sarcastic and mean introductions, can we go home? I am too tired to tolerate you both now”,Andy spoke while yawning.
Andy, wasn't drunk much but I still booked a cab as I wanted to get home as fast as I can. I was just wishing for this night to end swiftly. Veer was gone after the cab arrived. He had his bike with him. It was 2:30 am and I was lying on my bed beside Andy thinking about the strange guy I met today at club which turned out be my bestie's childhood friend. All the conversations that we have had were playing in on my mind on loop. All we conversed were arguments and sarcastic responses, but still instead of getting irritated I had no reaction to it at all. His voice was kind of stuck in my head. And I wasn't taking any efforts to take it out.
