"So your friend is a pretty sleepy ass.."I heard the familiar voice coming from the living room. It was a Sunday and due to yesterday's late night I was still sleep deprived. I brushed my teeth and walked straight to the kitchen to grab my tea. When I walked in the living room Andy was laying on the couch and her annoying friend was sitting on one of the chairs near the couch.
"Good morning !",Andy wished me with her cheerful voice as soon as she saw me. "Morning",I wished her back. "What is he doing in here?",I asked Andy by pointing at Veer."Well, it's my friend's apartment and I can come in here whenever I want without any specific purpose. Right Andy?",Veer spoke with a bright smile. "Umm yeah why not..",Andy replied nervously as my eyes were on her while sipping my tea. She definitely knows I didn't like Veer's idea.
"So, What's the plan for today? Are we going out somewhere?",Veer questioned with enthusiasm. "Nothing much. I'm going relax for today. The whole week was hectic at work.",Andy replies with laziness in her tone. She was being such a lethargic ass. "I thought you would take me around the city.." "I would have but today I'm not really in the mood, pal.", Andy says and suddenly perks up by saying, "Don't worry, friend if not me than my roommate cum bestfriend can surely show you the city, right Adhira?",she says and lifts her left eyebrow. "How can I? I'm not his tourist guide.", I spoke. I can't stand him for few minutes, how am I even going to spend hours with him? Besides I had work to do.
"Oh Adhira c'mon. You are anyway going to be out for most of the day today because of your work as you had told me, so why not take him along? He can go with you. After your work is done you can show him nearby well known places. That would be enough for the day.",she says. And after a pause she looked at Veer and asked, "Will that be okay Veer?" And what else can I expect from him, He nodded and I groaned,"Fine! Just for you Andy." Then I looked at his direction and told him, " I'll get ready in few minutes. You look okay no need to waste time in getting changed and all. I'll be back." "Okay? I look just okay? Andy, I guess your friend needs some eye checkup it seems. Ain't I looking handsome?",He spoke with fun and mockery filled tone.
Andy nodded and told him that he looked awesome. I just rolled my eyes walked into the bedroom. After few minutes, I came to the living room dressed up just to find Andy asleep on the couch and Veer was missing. I walked further and peeped into balcony. Veer was leaning over the balcony grill."Veer, you coming?" This time my voice came a little calmer. Maybe, Him looking at the bright blue sky silently while the chilled breeze blew made me feel calm inside. There was something in the way he was I don't know.. I couldn't define. His eyes were closed, feeling the breeze. A small smile was formed on his lips. He seemed to be enjoying the serenity. I didn't realised I was shamelessly starring at him all the time since I called him, until he walked towards me and snapped his fingers in front of my face."I said let's go. Where were you so lost in?",He asked in a playful way. "you.", I answered mindlessly and then surely regretted. "I mean, you are something I was looking for..", I know how terrible that sounds. I was embarrassed and tried my best to hide it. Veer was laughing. For the first time I saw and heard him laughing that heartily. I loved the sound of him laughing. Watching him laugh, a smile made its way on my lips. A wide smile. "If you're done smiling can we move out?"I simply nodded and followed him. I left a note for Andy, took extra keys and then we both moved out from the apartment.
