Felix knew it was a busy day at Sweet Serenade today, but that didn't stop him from making himself an iced matcha latte. Just what he needed to breach the heat. He watched as his customers were engaged in conversations, laughing, smiling, and carefree.
He felt at ease just by watching them. Felix had always been an observer. He loves to yap about himself to people who were willing to hear him out, but he also loved listening. Be it what may, he liked hearing people or just simply observing what they're doing. Not in a creepy way, of course.
The doorbell chimed, breaking Felix from his thoughts as a striking figure sauntered into the store, exuding an air of confidence that matched his impeccable attire. With designer clothes adorning his frame and sunglasses perched effortlessly on his nose, the tall man commanded attention as he leaned against the counter, his gaze fixed on Felix.
"I hope you have my croissants ready, Lix," he drawled, his voice carrying a hint of amusement as he adjusted his shades.
Felix, accustomed to the routine, rolled his eyes good-naturedly as he swiftly prepared the requested treats. "Lots of work today, Hyunjin?"
Hyunjin flashed a charismatic grin, reaching for his wallet. "Oh, I'm swamped, but a quick break was in order. Can't resist your delectable treats on a busy day like this."
Seungmin, unable to contain his curiosity, approached with a mix of admiration and skepticism. "You're practically draped in Versace. How did you manage to get here in one piece?"
With a dismissive wave, Hyunjin shrugged off the concern. "It's all about a touch of luck."
Jisung, ever the observant one, chimed in with a playful jab. "Back at it with Versace, I see. Are you on your fourth photoshoot this week already?"
Hyunjin chuckled, his charm undiminished. "Something like that. A model's work is never done, especially when Versace comes calling."
"Boss!" One of the part-timers yelled from the back of the kitchen. "It's an emergency!"
Felix sighed, turning back to Hyunjin. "We'll talk later, Jinnie. I have to go attend to whatever that is, I'll see you around soon?"
"Sure, Lix," Hyunjin smiled sweetly, blowing him a kiss as he walked to the door. "I'll be back sometime later."
Felix heads to the back kitchen. "What's wrong?"
"We're almost out of flour!" The part-timer exclaimed. "And syrups. We didn't expect the crowd today and thought our stock would be sufficient!"
"Alright, alright, manage with what we have for now," Felix replied. "I'll run to the store and get the stuff for now."
"Okay, sir," the part-timer said, getting back to his work.
Felix heads back out and looks over at Jisung and Seungmin. "I'm heading out for some groceries. I'll back be back soon. Man the store for me, Seungmin."
"Will do."
"Thanks," Felix said and made his way to the grocery store down the street. He soon reached and walked inside.
