"Hey, Daniela!" Called a voice from behind me. I turned around with a shock. It was just my Auntie Yelena. "Oh, hi, Auntie Lena!"
"Hey! So, there's a massive event in the grand hall tonight - as you probably already know - and I was wondering if you wanted to come out with me, Nat and some others to try out some dresses and stuff?"
"Oh, uhm... I wasn't really planning on going."
"Oh come on! It will be fun! I promise. We'll take good care of you!"
I paused for a moment to think. "Fine." I said. "But you better stay with me the whole time! I'm not going by myself. I barely know anybody."
"I promise!" She said. "I'll wait for you by the entrance door at 7:00 pm?"
"Okay, deal." I said.
"Great! Let's go, we're leaving now!"

As we pulled up to the store, Wanda started talking to me. I knew who she was of course, I'd seen her before in the tower and we'd exchanged a few glances during meetings. "Hey, Daniela, are you excited to try on some dresses?"
"Yeah, I guess." I replied dryly.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"I just haven't really done anything like this before."
"Don't worry! It'll be really fun and you can get anything you want." I smiled at her. I hoped it would be fun.

As we entered the store, I saw dresses upon dresses lining each wall of the shop. Nat came up to me. "Hey, sweetie, you wanna come with me and look at the dresses alone?" I nodded and smiled. We went over to a circular rack that was filled with red and black dresses and we started looking at them all. As I searched through, I came across a tight fitted, black dress with a laced back and silver jewels lining the neck. I also found a few others I liked, and I went and tried them on with everyone else. It was super fun! We had a mini fashion show, trying on ridiculous dresses and laughing at them. At the end, I ended up getting the black dress I found, some black studded heels and a choker necklace. Eventually we exited the store with our dresses and headed back to the tower.

I had been sitting in my room for a while. Once we arrived back from the store, I was exhausted, and just collapsed on my bed for a while. I didn't bother to check the time. I didn't think it would matter that much. Eventually, I did check it. Crap. It was already 6:50! I was meant to meet Auntie Lena in 10 minutes, and I hadn't even started getting ready. I jumped out of bed and threw on my new dress, hoping that I didn't wrinkle it. I then brushed my dark, brown hair into a braid and put on some makeup while putting on my heels and choker. Then, I rushed as fast as I could to the grand hall.
