BROOKLYN

I've been sitting with Ophelia and Elle since almost 30 minutes now, as they ask me about my personal life. I didn't really mind, it's just that I didn't want them to treat me any differently after finding out about my family situation. I didn't know if I could call them my friends yet, but i didn't want everyone to know that I had a shitty life.

"So, your dad is a dick?" Elle said, after I've told them what he did. Not exactly because I wanted to, but because they asked about my parents and I didn't want to lie to them. Her arm got a slight slap from Ophelia, making her groan. "What? Want me to lie? He is a dick, from what I heard."

I had to smile a bit, since she was actually right. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." I was actually a little relieved that I didn't lie to them. It would've been way more complicated, having to think of a whole story to tell.

"I'm really sorry that you had to go through that." Ophelia said with a soft tone, before smiling. "But you're here now. And I bet you're gonna like it here. I could give you a little tour around the whole boarding school, if you want me to."

I was a little taken back by her offer. She already did me so many favors, I didn't want her to miss out on anything just so she could show me around. But I really wanted to see the whole place. So I accepted her offer.

"That would be nice, thank you."

Elle suddenly stood up and nodded toward the door with her head. "I'm coming with. Ophelia is just gonna tell you the good side about every person and every building."

Ophelia raised her eyebrows very slightly. "Yeah, because she's new here. Why would I tell her anything bad?" She asked, tilting her head to the left.

Elle patted her shoulder slightly. "It's called pro and contra, honey. Not every person in this place is 100% filled with pro stuff, like you."

Ophelia gasped like she was offended, but soon after that she smiled. "You think I'm 100% pro?" She asks and makes a little 'aww' sound. Elle just groaned slightly. "Let's go."

We walk through the door and Elle handed me a key. "It's the key to our dorm." She said, and I think I saw a little smile on her face. I locked the dorm, actually surprised that we were allowed to do that.

They leaded the way and I followed them, not really minding the fact that they are in front of me. I noticed that we stopped at a dorm. Ophelia turned to me, with a smile. Sometimes I felt like she never stopped smiling.

"This is the dorm of me and Alison." She told me and opened the door and it was a beautiful dorm. The right side was full of plants and Polaroid pictures of a girl with curly hair and her friends, or animals. On the left side were some Taylor Swift posters, but also romance quotes on the wall. Just like Polaroid of Ophelia with friends. The bookshelves filled with romance books, and on the shelves were tulips. It was like a room straight of a romcom. Both sides were so comfortable and cute.

I admires it for a while, until I noticed a girl sitting at a piano. She kept playing, not noticing us. From the back I saw curly hair.

"Alison." Ophelia called out, not raising her voice but just so loud that the girl could hear her. She turned around and she had such a calm vibe on her, her lips curling up into a smile.
