By the 1930s, there were only twenty-eight families left that maintained the status of being 'pureblood,' known as the Sacred Twenty-Eight. In the centuries prior to this, there were more...

Nearing the end of the nineteenth century, more and more families were stripped of their status as they became unable to control their children into carrying on their family legacies. Desperate to maintain their pureblood status, many families turned to more drastic measures doing whatever it took to secure their wealth and power.

The Stretton Family was no exception to this. Dating back centuries, their house was one of power and status. The Stretton's wealth rivaled the Malfoy Family and their influence was almost as great as the Gaunts'. One descendant after another, the noblemen of the Stretton family kept their talons dug deep into ministry affairs, furthering their own agenda.

There was no line Ignatius and Constance Stretton wouldn't cross in order to protect their lineage. After organizing a marriage for their eldest son, Amos with a member of the Burke family and a baby on the way just one year later, they are now focused on their younger children Oliver and Eliza. Oliver, a sixth year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry still has time for a proper match to be considered to help further strengthen the line of the Stretton house. Eliza on the other hand being a seventh year student, will need to be properly courted this coming school year to be married off upon her graduation to serve her role to maintain another houses' status.
