Hua cheng looked around and saw the building made of metal. Everything looked so modern, it was uncanny.
After admiring the scenery, he pulled Xie lian up from the ground and dusted him off. "I guess standing here won't do anything," Xie Lian said lightly-heartedly.
Hua Cheng nodded in agreement and they both walked out of the alleyway, still holding onto each others hands. Xie lian covered his eyes with an arm since the light was a little bit blinding, but once his eyes started to adjust he gasped.
Everywhere the two looked they saw a variety of different creatures. [Are those ghosts? Demons perhaps? Im not too sure..] Xie Lian was deep in thought.
He had an easy solve for this and decided to tap the shoulder of a girl with horns that walked by. Xie Lian politely asked, "Excuse me miss, but are you by any chance a demon?"
Hua Cheng widened his eyes a little, but chuckled as well. He bent down to whisper in his lover's ear "It's not polite to ask a woman about their origins in the ghost realm. I'd have to assume it's the same here."
Xie Lian immediately felt guilty after hearing this— but before he could even explain he was cut off.
"How could you say that!?" She yelled furiously while gathering the attention of everyone nearby. They all started to murmur and took out their phones to record. [What are those rectangular boxes they're holding?] Hua cheng thought curiously since he had never seen them before.
"Where do you get off bein' racist and calling me a demon cause of my quirk!?" "That's not at all what I was trying to do! Please believe me ma'am," he began to panic even more.
Hua Cheng pulled on Xie Lian's sleeve to pull him closer, but just as Xie Lian was about to explain the whole situation— an explosion erupted. Everyone began to run and scream, including the horned woman.
Hua Cheng whipped his head around to see what was happening and felt Xie Lian try to rush in.
"Gege, please think about this carefully.." "but San Lang—" "Lets watch from a distance, its easier and more efficient that way. We should see what we're up against,"
[He's right..] Xie Lian agreed to retreat as they both went up onto a high roof.

From a rooftop, they both watched the scene below them. No one was getting caught in the flames, but off to the side with tents they saw that many were still injured.
"Gege look over there," he pointed over to the winged woman at the centre of chaos. Her wings made of fire caused flames every time it flapped.
[Well that's new-] Xie Lian thought as he was in awe of her. When Hua cheng looked closer, he could see two people in the sky that seemed to be fighting her off.
He saw a flying girl that looked and dressed like a bee while carrying a man whose arms were spewing out water to put out the woman's fires.
Safe to say that the two husbands were confused, but more fascinated than scared. "San Lang look over there—!" he shouted as he pointed to a child caught under some rubble. Without much thought, he jumped down to help them, leaving Hua Cheng behind.
Xie Lian pushed the rubble aside with very little effort and gently cradled the child up to his chest. "It's okay, I got you." He said very softly. He was too focused on the child that he couldn't sense fire coming straight for him. Luckily an umbrella the shade of crimson blossomed open and deflected the fire. "San Lang!" "I told you this one would protect you, didn't I?" Hua Cheng teased him. "Come now, it's not safe for that child to inhale this much smoke."
So the two of them, including the child, ran towards the stands where they saw people in white helping the injured. He called out "Um, sir?" but no one answered. He decided to yell a little louder.
"Excuse me!"
This time, everyone heard him. Some gave dirty looks since he did interrupt their work "I'm sorry, but I have an injured child here!" he spoke hurriedly so he won't waste their time. Someone came by and took the child off his arms to treat them.
"So kind even in a different world," Hua Cheng praised as he smiled. "I was only able to do that with your help," Xie Lian gratefully. While in the moment of relief, someone yelled in the distance.
