"Elijah..tell me, you're from the dragon race aren't you?"

God, why did Clarissa's father have to be so smart!?

"Y-yes your majesty" apparently that also caught Elijah off guard because he stammered on his words, "may I ask how you know?"

"Clarissa has always been close to the dragon race, you should see the amount of books she has on them, I figured it'd be about time she befriended one"

"So you just totally guessed this?"

"Yeah(;"

Clarissa was dumbfounded, leave it to her dad to guess the random things and somehow be right.

Side eyeing Elijah she gave him the nod, now that he knew this was probably better if he knew the stuff about the drokna realm.

"The dragon people need your daughter's help...." He went on about the problems they were facing and how Isa herself was the solution, he then got to the part that would probably get him killed. "The elders, they thought that the best way to have Clarissa stay in the dragon realm would be..." his face blushed a little at the end. "To get married"

"What" the utter shock on her dad's face could've scared the demon king, "Clarissa, did you agree to this!?"

"..."

Alright, this was a very bad idea, "maybe" she managed to announce.

"Clarissa tell me, did you get engaged to some rando at the age of ten?" This was a lot more serious this time.

"...yeah?"

What happened next is too difficult for me to write but long story short, isa was told no. She could not go to the dragon realm.

"Two years" Clarissa said once they were out of the room and away from Meliodas's ear shot.

"Huh?"

"We have two years until elise and ember need to go through that ritual, a couples days before that we'll leave in secret to go to the drakna realm....there's also something i've been meaning to ask you"

Elijah seemed satisfied at Clarissa's decision, "what is it?"

"Why is it that when we signed a contract, you kissed my forehead?" feeling it, the skin felt smooth even though that weird mark had shined so brightly when it happened, it's weird when the color black shines brightly.

In the blink of an eye Elijah had removed her hand and kissed her forehead again, she was puzzled but was quickly distracted when the mark showed up again. Running to the closest mirror isa got a better look at the black glowing mark. It looked a little bit like the demon mark her brother has but was far more beautiful, it was kind of shaped like a star.

"For us dragons, kisses are very sacred, though I'm sure you already figured that out though. When it comes to contracts where we kiss depends on the element we were born with. For fire and ice it's the hand, darkness it's the forehead, light is the chest, the feet are wind and earth, water is the back of the leg, lightning is the forearm and nature is the back. It's just the spot of which the element is strongest and is the easiest to make a contract" huh, that does make some sense.

"So it only glows when you're using element power, right when you've made the contract, and when you kiss that specific spot again?"

"Yep"

This newfound information was not useful at all but maybe it will be in the future, "until we go in two years, you should probably help me learn how to use element power, from what I can tell the element of darkness is very different from unholy magic"
