"You've been staring at your phone the past two days, Z. Just call her," Niall's voice is heard from the front of the shop, startling me from my concentration. In all honesty, I was trying to send a mental message to Jenna to call me but just like my attempts to call her, they fail. I sigh to myself and run a hand through my hair.

I look up from my mobile on the counter to my friend who continues to prepare the shop for opening by dusting. (I liked to think my job would be just to supervise while Niall and Clover did all the work.) He rolls his eyes at me the minute he sees my blank stare.

"Come on," Niall groans, "you scolded me for not calling Clover. Take your own damn advice."

"That was different," I tell him with a glare. "You thought you were being clingy. Which, you were."

"Chill." Clover takes a break from arranging the shelves to slap Niall's arm and give me the glare I'd given Niall. He frowns at her while it's her turn to roll her eyes. She walks toward the door and flips the 'closed' sign to 'open'. "It's got to be hard after what he's gone through."

"Thank you, Clover. There's a reason you're my favourite worker," I comment making Niall glare at me. I look down and fiddle with my phone. A few beats of silence pass before I frown. "Besides, why do guys always have to make the first move? Don't feminists want equal rights? Here you go. Call me, Jenna!"

"Why don't I just come to your store instead?" A voice chimes into the conversation after a bell signaled someone's arrival. Frozen, I keep my eyes on my mobile as Niall and Clover greet her. It's not long before she's standing in front of the counter I'm behind, arms folding themselves into my view. She pokes my hand. "Just saying, I'm not a feminist so..."

At her teasing tone, my eyes slowly drift up toward her face to see a grin. And I want to know what she's doing to me because the minute I see her smile, I smile too. I take in her beauty by letting my eyes sweep over her wavy brown hair, brown eyes and the natural pink her lips held.

"I'm, um, glad you came," I manage to stumble out. She looks down at the counter, the smile widening. "There's a sale today."

"Wow, and I thought I was bad a flirting." Niall snorts.

"Shut up, Ni. Flirting is your middle name." I hear Clover comment but I ignore it once Jenna looks up at me, a small laugh leaving her lips.

She leans closer. "It's okay, I think it's cute."

"Uh, thanks," I reply whilst leaning back. I blink a few times before speaking, "But I am glad you're here, I'm not really good at the whole calling thing."

"As I heard." She chuckles before leaning away and letting her eyes sweep over the store.

I clear my throat making her turn to me. "How did the photos look? You know, the ones you took at the party?"

"Oh!" Her smile is radiating as she places her bag onto the counter and shuffles around in it before pulling out a single photo. She looks at it for a moment before turning it to me, revealing that it was the picture she took of me. I thought it was cute that she returned my action of being creepy by taking this picture minutes into learning each others name. "This one's my favourite."

At that my cheeks heat up, even more so when I hear Niall and Clover coo at the pink blooming onto my face.
