After much convincing and heartfelt apologies, both Lee Heeseung and Park Jiyeon were eventually seated next to each other on the bus back to Yongsan. Amidst the gentle hum of the bus engine and the soft chatter of the few passengers, they found themselves sat within the reticence of the night.

Park Jiyeon refused to converse with the Lee throughout the whole bus ride home. She wasn't really angry but she just wanted to pretend to be, finding it funny seeing him earnestly trying his best to make her laugh or break through her feigning silence.

She almost lost it when he started pulling at her hair, playing with the little strands sticking out at the ends of her clipped bun, but instead she just glared at him and whacked his hand away.

"Beanhead, please talk to me." Heeseung sulky muttered, his voice a distant whisper in the back of Jiyeon's mind as the pads of her fingers flushed against the warm flesh of her cheek, her elbow propped up atop the armrest alongside her.

"Sure, you inconsiderate, annoying, obnoxious jerk that isn't worth my while. Want me to say more?"

"Goodness, I had no idea you had this side to you. I honestly didn't think you would be the jealous type."

"Are you making fun of me right now? And just to get this bit into your head, I am not jealous."

Heeseung couldn't help but be charmed by her, finding himself fighting a battle with his own laughter, pressing his lips together tightly to stifle his chortle that threatened to escape. His earthy orbs twinkled with mirth, while a smile played at the corners of his lips as he watched her, finding her avowed temper merely endearing.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because you're cute."

With this, Jiyeon's patience wore thin the second Heeseung's words rang through her ears, and in a swift motion, she belabored a sudden hit to his chest, her frustration evident in the intensity of the gesture, sending Heeseung careening into the unyielding surface of the bus wall.

"Why did you hit me?" Heeseung's tone quivered with confusion, taken aback by her sudden attack as he placed a palm on his chest where her touch had stung. His orbs glimmered wide with shock, stiffen stature glued onto the bus wall.

"You're an annoying asshole."

Visions of the Lee before her succumbing from shooting pain flashed through her orbs, rubbing the ache of his chest as a subconscious smile painted the canvas of his face despite the hit he endured, curving his lush lips upwards whilst turning his pate away from her, glancing out the window.
