Morning dews fall from the cloud of the heavens, and the sun shines through the thin curtains of the Temple room, warming the mattress down below, It was quiet it was calm, this was the warm
He longs for the comfort that Lan Zhan had missed, his voice a reminder of his past, a past of arguments, acceptance, and a single goodbye.

The outside was cold and dry, but the streets were still busting like normal, which was to be expected in Ghost City, it was a weekend his day off, and the weather was comfortably cold for his skin perfect weather in his opinion, Zhang Wu looked at his hand it was dull, but he makes up for it with his energetic personality, looking outside he was reminded of his old home town when he used to be alive, it was uncomfortable looking back at those memories of abandonment, abuse, and suicide...

Going through the day Lan Zhan travels for an hour or two he estimates that he will arrive in the next town in the next 4-5 hours travelling was one of his favorites seeing beautiful sights he was a travelling apothecary when he was mortal, studying plants in his 20s to supply medicinal herbs to towns, working under his boss Ren Shen and working alongside Him…

The day was going smoothly for a day off Zhang Wu has been relaxing in his home, he enjoyed the mundane the slow day of resting from work, The city master has been very generous with giving the servants at Paradise Manor an ample break from work, this was way less travelling, more days off than what he did years ago when he was human, those days were not the best, but he manages now.

Night arrived he was tired, the closest temple was the Water Master's Temple, thanks to the close relationship of Master Ren Shen to the Water Master, Zhan was able to restore his Mana from the 7-hour trip from the Farm village to the Fishing town, this town was quiet and peaceful, Lan Zhan arrived at the temple the Monks were reluctant enough to let him stay and give him some bread for food, in return Lan Zhan bestowed the town a protection spell from ghosts and evil spirits. Going to the spare room, Lan Zhan has put down his supply of Spiritual food and maps, after he eats he sets up the mat that the monks had given him. They called him a so-called god, and though he does have immortality and powers he doesn't care much for the title, he thinks of it as a front to the mortals but nothing more. His eyes were tired, slowly closing and opening his eyes, the sleepiness was catching up to him, his body was tired from the long walk, but the job had to be done…

The nights at Ghost City are as lively as ever, it's the City master's and his Husband's Anniversary Wedding, they had been wedded to each other for over 750 years now, Zhang Wu wanted to enjoy the celebration so he took a short walk from his humble abode to the bustling streets he was energised ready to enjoy the night that awaits him, the time he arrives thousands and thousands of lanterns were released into the air painting the red sky with marvellous colours, Wu was happy, satisfied, and grateful with his life as a ghost.
