"Grim," she whispered to him as she picked him up, "you got room for one more?"

He waited until his breathing steadied, "maybe."

"I want you to send one at him now," she said without a hint of remorse, "doesn't matter if it's small, just get him to turn around."

Grim followed suit and fired a small little blast that, admittedly, didn't look like it could burn the leaf off a tree sapling, but it successfully got Ace's attention.

He spun around and sent his wind spell to rip it away, sending them an annoyed look.

"Hey! Watch it with the pyrophilia!" He sputtered.

"Shut up!" Grim shot as he regained momentum, "I'm gonna burn a mark on that goofy hairstyle of yours, you damned Red Panda!"

"Red Panda?!" Ace raged, his smile turned into a sneer as his eyes and nostrils flared.

"You wanna throw down with me, tanuki rat?! You've got mad guts!"

Taking her chance, she grabbed the mop and flipped it at him, which caused him to fling his wand in the air.

He bumbled to try and catch it, but Camila was fast with her hands, catching it in one go.

"H-hey!" He jabbed an angry finger at her, "gimme that!"

Instead of giving it-

"Grim!"

She threw it towards Grim, who caught it with his teeth and climbed up a tree.

He grabbed it and sniffed it curiously before dangling it over the branch he stood over.

"Hurry and play fetch, Red Panda!" Grim laughed meanly as he beared those sharp teeth of his.

Ace reddened as he balled his gloved fists.

"What the hell is your problem?! Knock it off!"

Camila gave him a soft smile.

"What do you mean, Ace? We're janitors, right? We clean messes."

She then gave him an evil grin.

"And right now, you're the biggest mess we've seen yet, right Grim?"

He was too busy laughing to answer, laid on his back as he held his stomach with a free paw.

Ace was so livid his eyes filled with angry tears.

"You can't do this! This isn't right!" He shouted as he attempted to near the tree, only to get buffeted by Camila's mop strikes.

The crowd returned, more uproarious than before, as they jeered and whistled around them.

Unlike before, Camila were the ones dishing out the attacks, and Ace was on the receiving end.

After a while, Ace was on his hands and knees in the grass wheezing from exhaustion rather than joy.

Grim was elated as he held the first year's wand, but Camila couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for making him chase for his wand and hitting him.

"Uh, Grim," she turned to her janitor mate, who was rolling off the isles, "maybe we should return his wand back to him?"

"No way!" He popped up on the tree branch and protested immediately, holding the wand so under his paws, which looked long enough to act as his walking stick, "this is just gettin' good. The Red Panda needs to understand not to underestimate me, got it, henchman?"

This was what she was afraid of.

"Hey, Grim-"

"Hold it right there!" an unfamiliar voice called beyond them, the crowd of people long gone.

She turned and saw a young man who looked no older than Ace step before them, sporting a similar tattoo as Ace's but with a dark spade instead of a red heart.

Unlike Ace's wild hair and cheerful disposition, this boy donned nicely straightened dark hair and a deep frown that set Camila on edge- it reminded her of Riddle's own scowl.

His was less intense, but the coldness in his vibrant blue eyes could match Riddle's glare for glare.

"When I heard we might be missing a student I went to go check to see where you might've went. What's going on here?"

He eyed Camila and Grim suspiciously, prepared to take out a wand of his own, which also donned the scarlet red jewel.

"Butt out, random!" Ace shot suddenly, "I don't need any more humiliation today!"

The dark-haired boy rolled his eyes in response.

"As if you have the right to get snappy when you're in danger of getting beheaded! If you're tardy you'll ruin it for the rest of us, so how about you drop that high and mighty attitude, huh?"

Ace made a growl but dropped it.

"You two!" the boy turned back to Camila and Grim with his wand pointed, "this is a serious violation of the Queen of Hearts rule #6: no biting on campus!"

Ace glared up at him as he got up from the ground.

"It's 'fighting', nimrod!"

At the correction, the boy choked back his sternness as his cheeks grew pink from embarrassment.

Camila just stared while Grim let out another laugh.

"This guy's a ditz!"

"W-whatever!" He jammed his wand in Grim's direction as he tried to regain momentum, "give back his wand right now!"

"Oh? And who's gonna make me?"

"...." Camila was sure she should do something, but she was sure Grim would get hostile even if she came after him, so she simply watched.

"Deuce Spade will!" The aptly named Deuce said triumphantly before nervously looking down at his hands.

"But how...?"

"Pfft, you mean you don't even got a plan??"

"Shut up!"

"You're embarrassing me," Ace shot at him.

"You're not helping!" The boy shot back.

"How's about this. If ya don't think up something in the next few minutes, Imma drop his precious little wand!"
