Part 1: The Time War

The Elemental Masters each cheered in their own victory as the Anaconcrai Generals were finally sealed in their deserted tomb. Masters from across the valley journeyed to the Monastery to rejoice in their victory, Master Chen and Clouse each sentenced to the Lone Island to rot for the rest of their lives. Garmadon entered the grounds, reconnecting with Wu after years of separation in the war.

"Brother." The young Garmadon spoke.

"Brother." Wu repeated, "It has been too long my friend, and yet you look as young as when you left."

"Yes, Chen may have blinded my perception of reality, but I make an oath to you now, it shall never happen again." Garmadon mentioned.

Wu gave a reassuring nod as the Monastery doors burst open in a mighty rage, sending many Elemental Masters back to the ground. Dust cleared their eyes as Akronix and Krux stood there, menacingly. The Master of Lightning could sense a disruption and threw herself to her feet, coursing a lightning bolt toward the twins. A flash of blue commenced as time appeared to slow down, then a flash of yellow sent the lightning bolt back to the Master, electrifying her to the ground. Akronix clenched his fist as a green aura emerged, speeding time up, Masters fell to their feet in seconds, it was like teleportation. Finally, a spark of red emerged as all the Masters froze dead in their tracks, all but Wu and Garmadon.

"Control time, control everything!" Both brothers cackled.

They noticed movement on the corners of their eyes as they flipped around to the sight of Garmadon tackling one of them to the ground, Wu battled the other.

"Grab the steel!" Garmadon roared.

Wu fetched two bracelets from his pocket while holding Krux to the ground, he chucked them to Garmadon as he tried to tie them around their wrists.

"Shit, Krono Steel!" Akronix yelled, "Don't use your powers!"

Akronix was at the mercy of Garmadon but Krux had no bracelet on, allowing him to reverse time before anything could happen. He reversed it by two minutes, right after the Masters froze. They caught Garmadon trying to attack them and weaved out of his way, Krux tackled Wu to the ground as he was just standing there.

"Initiate Operation Rebirth!" Akronix called.

The twins released Wu and ran toward the centre of the Monastery, raising their hands in the air as an Infinity Loom projected over their heads, dispelling their coloured powers as a part of the sign. They began to levitate off the ground as a beam of Darkness took Krux out of the sky. Garmadon threw himself forward as Wu channeled his power of Creation, holding Krux in the air to stop his escape. Krux tried to turn back time again but the Loom was using too much power, they were too weak to fight. The Loom began to ingest the Twins again as Wu made a hasty decision that was sure to cost him everything, he took Krux's place and entered the Loom, Garmadon being swallowed after. Akronix and Krux couldn't believe it, all their energy went into the Loom, it could take days for their strength to recreate it.

Wu and Garmadon found themselves crossing space and time inside the Loom, they had no direction, no stability, they were going across time itself. A Temporal Storm erupted within the Loom, the Twins weren't there to control time within it. Time Storms crashed throughout the Loom as Garmadon caught up with Wu.

"What's the plan?" Garmadon shouted.

"Stick close and stay together." Wu bellowed.

A crash of Temporal Lightning struck the pair as they exited the Loom, the force separated them throughout time as Wu collapsed into a blanket of powdered snow above a mountain. He fell unconscious as the daylight was shut out by his darkening vision, his eyelids eventually enveloped his eyes. Garmadon was projected out of the sky and towards a jungle, tree branches caught his fall but his bones were still bound to break. Upon impact with the ground, his head made contact with a dead tree trunk, the last thing Garmadon saw before blacking out was the figure of a man, hopefully he was saved.
