~Ronan~

You know, love can overpower anything. Might be the wisest thing anyone's ever said. Back in the day, I didn't really buy into all that love stuff. Then along comes this person, who looked like a goth Barbie and was obsessed with reading about wars, and bam! Changed my whole perspective. Now, if you ask me, my religion is Love, and I happily worship at the altar of my Goddess – my beautiful wife.

My wife chuckles at something Silver said, then turns to me. "Can you believe Remi's newfound boldness?" she says, shaking her head with an amused smile.
I have no clue what Remi did, but it must've been something fitting for the Astors. Still, I chime in, "I'll have a word with him, mabelle."

"Ah, it's nothing. Cole was just being petty," Silver laughs, and Cole's expression right now? Priceless. I imagine framing it and hanging it in the Louvre.

"Butterfly, he's stealing our daughter. We're supposed to be a team," Cole interjects, turning to me. "Tell him the only acceptable apology is if he leaves my daughter be."

I arch an eyebrow at him, "Who said I was going to make him apologize, Nash? I was thinking I'd suggest he kidnap your daughter and take her far, far away." The absurdity of it all tickles my ribs, and I wink at Teal, that playful sternness in her eyes.

Cole's glare intensifies, "Before any of that happens, I'm going to make sure your son can't even crawl."

"Aww, you said the same thing when Eli was after Ava. But look at him now, perfectly fine," I smirk. Payback motherfucker for all the time you get under my skin.

"And now, not only will you have King as your in-law, but voilà," I point to myself, "moi aussi."

Before Cole can respond, I paint him a picture, "You'll see your daughter sitting next to my son at every family function. She'll stand at the altar, exchanging vows with Remi as the priest declares them husband and wife. Your grandkids will sport the Astor family's lordship nose. Life's going to be a blast, Cole."

As I weave this fantastical tale, I hadn't noticed Cole had already left. Laughter bursts out of me, and I double over, gasping for air. Silver joins in, picking up her bag and running after him.

"That's not very nice, Ronan," Teal scolds playfully, though her smile gives her away. Her grin lights up her face, brightening my world.

I cup her face, unable to resist, "Sorry, I couldn't help it, Teal."

My phone buzzes in my pocket, and I fish it out to see a message in our group chat.

Cole: That's it! I'm going to teach these daughter-stealers a lesson.

I snicker to myself; seems like my words hit home.

Aiden: I'd like to see you try.

Cole: Don't tempt me, King. You and Astor better start preparing for your son's funerals. Watching your sons being buried, that’s the only family function my daughter will be attending, Ronan.

Another wave of laughter threatens to burst out of me before I can stop it. This is too good.

Ronan: Okay, Nash. Whatever helps you sleep at night. :)

Xander: What's got Nash's panties in a twist?

Aiden: The fear of facing reality.

Cole: Shut up, King. I won't sit quietly while your son takes away my daughter.

Aiden: Oh, but he already has. And now your second daughter is also heading to the altar.

Levi: I don't know if it's of any comfort, but at least it's better than having your entire in-law family as the Russian BRATVA.

Xander: Captain's got a point, Cole. My only daughter is dating a mafia lizard.

Cole: That's the thing. Nothing's comforting. Oh God, I think I'm going to have a panic attack.

Ronan: Send us a video when it hits you. And just so you know, there is nothing an Astor move can’t solve.

I switch off my phone, feeling utterly smug.

“Now what have you done that is making you smile like that?” Teal says, as she gets herself and me a cup of tea.

“Like what, mabelle?” I ask, take a sip from my tea which warms my insides.

“Like you have successfully managed to ruin someone’s day.”

“Oh I have, ruined Cole's day. The poor guy is probably going to have a mini heart attack by the end of the day.” I can’t help the laugh that bubbles out of me, and the tea spurts off my mouth.

“Ronan!” Teal smiles, trying to scold me. And I simply smile at her, completely awestruck at the beauty which sits next to me.

Even though it's been almost thirty years since our marriage, I still can't fathom how I got so lucky to land such an amazing woman. Probably saved a fucking nation in my past life.

"I'm glad that Remi followed his heart," Teal says, her voice in unwavering but I see the sheen coating her eyes.

"He was going to follow his heart, mabelle."

I take her tea from her hand and put it on the table with mine. I pull her onto my lap as I keep my palm at the dip above her ass. “You know, I am craving something else “

“What is that? Can I fetch it for you?” Teal plays along, running a hand down my cheek.

“No need, because I am craving you, mabelle.” I lean into her hand as I look up at her with those eyes she says are the most enchanting thing she has ever seen.

She flicks my nose, “What a naughty little boy, want to go to the bedroom instead?”

And that’s all I need. I hook my arms under her legs and she wraps her arms around my neck, peppering kisses along my jaw. I walk us to our bedroom and close it shut with my foot.

That’s all I need, my forever and me, happy forever.

“I love you so much, Ronan.” She whispers as I lay her on the bed.

I stare into those black eyes, the eyes that only go soft for our family. The eyes that are my undoing. Her lips turn into a pretty smile and it's the most gorgeous thing I have ever witnessed. My Teal is the most beautiful thing to even exist.

“Not more than I love you, mabelle.” I say as I kiss her forehead.

Hi, hope you all are doing well.

I wanted to ask, should I continue with the epilogue or before that write Silver's and Teal's POV?
