Jon's POV:

A few weeks have passed since Molly has woke up from her traumatic brain injury, the speech and physical therapy has been working really good for her! She's finally got to go home again couple of days ago and between mine and Claudia's schedule, I'm the only one who's able to go to Molly's house to help her out...

It's gotten to the point that I've stayed the last three nights at her place. Though it sounds selfish, I really do think this would be a lot more easier if Molls stayed at my house since I've got a big place and extra room for her unlike Claudia and her step-sister. Lord, I don't know how those three girls live together under the same roof; being over there the past few times Claud and Simone are really, really similar to one another which makes them clash heads more than anyone would like. Layla on the other hand, she's the Cool-Hand-Luke out of the three. Hey, someone has to shut down the arguments the step-sisters go through.

I was currently at Molly's house taking care of her. She's able to walk around a little bit with a walker, but it's slow and honestly, I'm scared she'll fall and no one will be there to help and there could be a chance she could re-injure her head and Lord knows I don't want that. None of us do. And I'm 99 percent sure Molly doesn't want to see the walls of a hospital room for a very long time, ha. But then again, no one does.

It just turned 12 o'clock on the dot and it was more than past time for Molly to eat something- however, before coming up here, I did stop by Chick-fil-A to grab her and I something to eat. For me, it's my usual order, but as for Molly, I know she's a bit picky so it took a tad bit longer to get the order. She likes to have a large fry, small fruit cup with only strawberries and oranges, and a medium mac and cheese. I'm not going to lie, that sounds really good, haha. She isn't picky with beverages so I just ordered a Diet Dr. Pepper since that's a drink she's loved for a long time.

I entered her bedroom, rolling my eyes subtly at the various pieces of art she had hanging up on the wall. Without any other time passing, I shook Molly's shoulder gently to awaken her and as soon as my hand touched her exposed arm, she stirred slightly. Her eyes looked me up and down, a soft yet sleepy smile plastering across her face which only made me smile from ear to ear.

"Good morning, sleepy head! I was starting to wonder if you were ever goin' to wake up," I jokingly teased with my best friend. "I got you something to eat and drink if you want it.. It's your favorite."

She rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed, shaking her head from side to side, "You didn't have to do t-that."

"Yes, I did. You've barely got anything to make in this house. So before heading here, I got your normal order from Chick-fil-A; the fry, fruit cup, mac and cheese, and Diet Dr. Pepper. That's what you liked before your accident, so maybe you still like it," I replied shyly.

Jeez, why is talking to her making me so damn nervous? It's just in my head, keep your feelings in your head and heart, Langston. Don't mess this up.

Shaking my head at my mental words, I started to grab all of her food out of the bag and placed it on the fold-out table that was sitting right beside her bed. After opening the lids to both the mac and cheese and fruit cup, Molly had a huge smile on her face. In turn, that made me smile just as wide.

"Thanks, Jon. You are a great pal," She expressed, beginning to eat one of the fries out of its box. "Mmm, don't ever take food for granted; hospital slop is the most tasteless thing ever- but this... Now this is the Lord's work."

I laughed and nodded my head in agreement with her statement, "They don't call Chick-fil-A the Lord's chicken for nothing, Mo."

She giggled cutely and grabbed the fork, placing it between her fingers and getting a few macaroni noodles onto the eating utensil. She took a bite and smiled from ear to ear, humming some tune.
