----- March 2nd, 2011 -----

I was currently walking around the Game of Rite arena, well the massive space inside of it where we'd be holding the Peace Summit. Our Coven had been put in charge of security for the event, right now we didn't who was playing host to Mortis. Thanks to having Celestia in our Coven we had a way of Testing for the Shard, but it was a slow process as only a Reaper could do it, it didn't help that the Sovrans had not made it mandatory, given they saw it as an invasion of privacy. Raphael and Charon were the only ones who voted for it to be mandatory. The compromise was that only those who had been checked would be allowed to be a part of the security detail.

She'd checked our Coven, obviously me and Angi had one but no one else in the Coven did. I was patrolling the room right now, looking for possible hide outs for assassins and the like. It was truthfully a nightmare, this place wasn't designed with security in mind. I wrote down yet another note on the latest threat I'd spotted. I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration and looked over, the space was a couple miles long, and they were currently assembling the massive meeting table, and placing various spells on the place so even though the room was so large they could easily hear each other no matter where in the chamber they stood. I shook my head needing to vent, this crap was stressful. I'd so far listed at least three dozen security threats and the list kept growing.  I put the note pad down and walked into the Portal that would lead to the Combat Arena itself.

-----------------

Yuguchi was already there, currently practicing her form. It was strange seeing her fight, she didn't fight like a human.  Instead she was jumping and moving around like a Nekomanius. No not like a Nekomanius, she was in fact using a unique combat form  that the Nekomanius had created for themselves that played to their enhanced agility combined with the sheer strength. It was a graceful sight to watch.

"Yuguchi," I said warning her that was here.

"Galen, security arrangements stressing you out?" She asked with a cheeky smirk.

"Yeah, question why the hell does a human know Nekoashi?" I didn't hide my confusion at the fact.

"O right," She mumbled nervously, swinging her blade around in a practice strike. "My adopted brother, I kind of knew he'd want to become an Exorcist, everyone in our family does. Given that he's a Neko-Vampire, I thought I'd learn it so I could help him learn to fight."

"Make's sense," I replied stretching out my muscles. "Could you use a Sparring partner?"

"That would be helpful." She spoke nodding, she held her Industria up as if she was cleaning the blade, but instead as she ran her hand along the blade the Exorcism spell shut off but the Destruction Spell didn't.

"Wow how do you have such control over the magic in the weapon? That's rare for a human no offence."

"It's because of my Holy-Core, The Core of the Divine hand, I'm able to instinctively use and control magical artifacts and weapons of any power level as any veteran."

I nodded and we took up precision across from each other. We walked around in a circle at first, just waiting for the other to make the first move. I was the first to act diving in, in response Yuguchi dived under my strike, and proceeded to kick me in the back. I quickly reacted, turning on her in the hopes of landing a hit, but she parried it with ease. It was clear that in combat she was more veteran than me, but given that the Custodies Veritas actively trained their members to fight while they were still children that was hardly surprising. I pushed against her, trying to break the parry, she in response swung her leg around, and I leapt backwards barely jumping over the blow.
