As promised the arena soon shifted into an open field, not exactly an advantage, but it was less of a hinderance than a damned jungle. I quickly looked around and saw the formation we were using, the Order of Balance members were forming an anti-air defense so to speak, their staves being perfect for the task. While the Demons provided them with a protective Barrier from magical attack, casting a Conclave-Tainted-Protection-Spell, the Werewolves acted as a screen protecting them from the ground along with the Vampire, seeing them work together still felt weird. The Angels fought an air to air battle, attempting to prevent as many of them from reaching the ground as possible, the Fallen Angels acted as ground shock troops, attacking any that happened to make it to the ground. We instantly obeyed our orders, running to the front lines.

I drove my shield around smashing a Demon to the ground with enough force to break their neck, typically the damage would have knocked them into the  Fade, it should have. But instead the Demon got back to their feet, and brought their sword around,  I attempted to block it but given the surprise I wasn't in time, I felt the Demon's weapon bite into my arm, the wound steamed from Iron but there was no magic to the attack which confused me even more. I drove my blade deep into their heart and they kept fighting for a few seconds, before the Exorcism Spell finally killed them.

"Zombies they are all Zombies!" Celestia yelled out.

Araelia landed next to me, instantly healing my arm without even being ordered to. She took up formation with us and then we kept moving forward. Jackson was moving with a speed I'd never seen before, leaving nothing but bloody fog in his wake, but given the so called Resonance effect, I wasn't surprised. As for what that was, when it came to Vampires their blood literally vibrated when members of the same bloodline were present. For each member of that Blood line within a mile of each other that 'Resonance' was amplified, so if their were two members then it was doubled, three tripled so on and so forth. That Vibration making them more powerful by that factor.

"Charon," Sammy yelled out. "These Demons are Zombies, they will keep moving until they are dead no matter the kind of wound you inflict."

"We are aware, I'm sorry we didn't have time to warn you." he replied through our communication stone, wielding his Warhammer with deadly precision.

Celestia at that point, placed her bow away, and instead moved to her Mori-Fire. It was the most effective tactic given the foe we face. I dived under the strike of the next attacker, brining my blade around and quickly cutting each of the Demons four limbs from them with deadly precision, it wouldn't kill him but he couldn't do a lot with no limbs.

"Damn it we have to find their leader, and in all this there isn't a chance in hell. Coven summon your familiars now!"

We all obeyed without hesitation summoning them onto the battle field, instantly Jackson's Wyvern, Naginu and Angi's Emisurua got to work on the enemy, meanwhile like me the rest, all of whom Familiar's weren't exactly built for combat turned to our Familiar's to give them orders, the same Order in fact.

"Anwir, boy, find their leader then report back to me." He gave a meow of compliance then disappeared into the shadows.

No doubt Sepertina would be the most likely to find the target, but that didn't matter. The more eyes we had looking the better. The only acceptation to that rule was Sophia's. Looking like a white dove with pure golden eyes, it was a Caladrius. Birds of healing it flew around instantly healing the injuries of our allies, as it did each of it's feathers turned a deep coppery vermillion. Once all the feathers of it's wings had turned that deep shade, the bird flew back to Sophia, where it then proceeded to pluck the feathers, the feathers regrew within seconds. Sophia took those feathers, attaching them to a pouch where she will later make them into fletching's for her arrows, amplifying the strength of their attacks.

It was at that point I saw what Jackson meant by Kiem having powers beyond our completion, I hadn't even noticed him arrive but now I could see him flying around in the air, which considering as far as I knew he was human surprised me. His back burned brightly with  wings of pure black flames.  The tongues of abyssal fire mocking the very wings of the angels he worked with. To the unobservant eye, the blackness of it was solid, however, if you looked closer, they were actually a deep blue, the darkness of it showing just how strong he was, the blue a hint to how hot he kept them at.  The Akio woman was flying along side him, her wings formed of a strange obsidian colored metal.   Irina was flying along side them but her Angel wings were gone and now in their place were gossamer strands of fog stood in their place, they shouldn't be able to hold her up and yet they did. While there was a forth person, the other Custodian I assumed, flying along with them, in the chaos the flaming wings created I couldn't really make out her face, but her wings were not wings either instead they seemed to be made of water. I have no clue what kind of magic the four were using, all I could really observe was that when ever they passed an enemy they reduced them to ash within a few moments.

"Well they are very powerful." I mumbled, Cassi diving in the way of someone about to strike at me, punching them half way across the arena with a single hit.

"Uncle pay attention!" she growled out, her hands radiating energy from her Exorcism-spells being active.

We were wining the fight, but that was the disadvantage of using Zombies. They were a terrifying shock troop yes, given that especially Demon Zombies were very hard to stop, but they weren't intelligent enough to have any form of cohesive attack, Blind berserkers just throwing themselves at us. What we hadn't accounted for however, was how deeply into enemy lines we now were, surrounded like this, even from above, we wouldn't last long. Just as we thought we were dead a massive storm cloud appeared above our heads, each bolt striking one of the Demons and reducing them to ash in a single bound.

Thor landed amongst us, laughing loudly as if he had just heard a particularly funny joke, he now stood in formation. "Sup',  pops  thought I could assist you in finding the head of the snake and I'm not talking about my uncle, where ever the green bitch is."

"Although I apricate the assistance we already have our Familiars looking." Sammy called out, throwing a handful of Volpura  at the next target reducing her to ash.

"Well a fight is a fight, and damn is this one fun." He bellowed, smashing another of the Zombies into a bloody pulp with a single well placed hit from Mjölnir.

It was at that point Sepertina begun howling, letting us know where the enemy leader was, our Coven, and Thor took to the air, flying towards where the howling was coming from. To say what we saw broke Sammy and Judith's hearts was an understatement.

"Damn you, you stupid fucking Zombies! I may have agreed to lead this attack in Dante's place but you are all useless!" Their leader yelled out, vaporizing a Zombie with a  barrage of Volpura.

Sammy stagged, almost falling to the floor when she saw who their leader was. Standing a little taller than Sammy, with the same shade of Eyes as her although sunken into his face, which in of itself was so drawn out that it almost had the appearance of a skull, all his hair had fallen out, and his skin had a deathly white to it and was covered in a cold sweat, while his frame looked like he had starved himself for weeks, which made very little sense as we'd only seen him a day ago. Even in this sickly state however we could tell who he was.

"Lucas why..." Sammy spoke out, dropping her blade.

"Dear girl, your brother is gone! Only I remain!"   Came the Voice of Mortis, a sadistic grin to his face.
